Roger, Tafoya… let’s see how many we can get into space as quick as we can. Bonnie is standing by with what transporter capability we can manage. But at this distance and with the interference of the sphere, I’m not sure how much good it will do. All shuttles have been scrambled to help with evac.=^=

“All right folks… this is it… any last ideas?” She had the feeling they were out of ideas at this point. She just hoped they could save enough to save the culture.

Smele swallowed and looked around. He was alone there. As Tafoya was speaking, he too spoke into a comms unit on the console …
- Smele

Before anyone else ad a chance to speak, the Captain came over the MACO’s comm. [O]Tafoya… I want to know EVERYTHING the admin knows about the other spheres and I want to know now. Their survival depends on it… and don’t sugar coat it![O] Her voice was more than annoyed and there was no doubt she was meaning business.

((Bump))

=^=I apologize Captain. I am attempting to get that information for you. Smele has several ships that can help evacuate people. We’re trying to get that going. I will keep you updated. I have made it very clear to the Administrator what needs to happen.=^= Melissa said =^=If you have an idea how to speed things up then I am open. I am working as fast as I can here.=^= Melissa spouted off, aware of the danger and wanting to get off the sphere as much as anyone else.

Smele lifted himself from the console that he had been half hiding under. “What we have is .. can only take maybe a tenth of us away.” He looked like he was about to have a panic attack. “I have sent out a message of distress. In all the history it has never been used.” He buried his face in his long hands. “None will come. Who knows it for what it is?”
Smele

“So you have never had any kind of escape drill or anything.” She sighed =^=Captain, we’re going to have to do this the hard way. He doesn’t think any of the ships they have will come.=^= She said =^= I will see about getting everyone moving towards a central area. We may need to use the transporters.=^=

MACO

Smele, at least for a moment, seemed to gain a backbone in his reply. “Where would we escape to? None have returned from the surface. Our only fate is to fall into the Great Eye.” There was a small pitiful bleep from the console. Smele looked down then back up. “What vessels we have are being prepared and the first loaded. Once they have beings loaded, where do they go?”

Melissa looked at Smele “They will rendevous with my ship and we’ll go from there.” She said as Ari’s voice broke in

Ari’s voice came over the comm, [O]All right… well get as many as you can on shuttles and the rest we will start transporting as soon as you are ready.[O]

[O]Yes Ma’am. I’ll let you know once we’re in place.[O] The MACO could be heard in the background talking to someone as teh link closed. She sounded very serious and motivating at the same time.

She looked back at Smele “Get as many as you can on the ships you have, and do it quickly. They take the bare necessities, we’ll help with the rest.” She said “Anyone that cannot fit on the ships will meet me in the central market place. We will transport them to our ship and we also have shuttles that are coming to help with the evacuation as well. You need to be strong in the face of your people. They are looking to you for guidance. Now get on the loud speaker and make the announcement. Be calm, be collected and be direct and clear.” She said spurring him to action.

Her voice cracked, but she recovered swiftly. [O] Tafoya… Get them in groups and set up for transport. We’re doing this NOW [O] She then ordered the helm to start their entry into the sphere. “We’re getting these folks out.”

She then tapped the comm once more and broadcast to all the away teams. [O]This is the Captain… shove who you can in transports and get them out. Everyone else get into groups and prepare for transport. The Bonnie is coming in.[O]

OOC: Apologies .. totally missed this one ..
IC:
Smele nodded. The didn’t understand the oddity of the double use of transport in the conversation, however this person appeared to have a better solution than his - that is, to hide under his desk. He pressed another button that caused the alert signal to change that sounded not unlike a sick frog. Whether that was intentional or not, well, was another thing. He bent over an old, bent microphone, telling the people to get on shuttles and, otherwise, go to the market. Around them the city sphere shuddered but did not ‘jerk and fall forward’. It did, however, feel like either an aftershock or a preface to something.

Melissa looked at Smele “Let’s go. ” She said urging him out of his office “We can direct people as we go.” She said knowing that the people were going to be more than slightly panicked. Melissa stepped out into the main thoroughfare again and grabbed Smele by the arm “Everyone keep moving toward the market area. Help is on the way.” She yelled and moved people forward. Seeing a young woman with two small children, Melissa grabbed one up “I’ve got her, keep going.” She said as she carried the small child. She kept Smele in sight as much as she could while she directed people where to go.

MACO

It seemed to be a long trip to the market area. In the history of generations such alarms and calls had never been made and, frankly, had never been drilled. Beings were seen moving around, some carrying belongings, others with hardly any clothes but all in a state of ‘omg!’. By the time they reached the market Smele’s eyes were wide and nearly as much panic as the rest milling about in the market. There was a report that all vessels that First City had were full.

What remained could not possibly begin to fit in the Bonnie ..

Melissa sighed [0] Captain, we’re all gathered, we don’t have enough room for everyone though. And the ships that they have are full.[0] Melissa said away from the others as much as she could. She kept as close to Smele as possible, she didn’t need him panicking and causing more problems with the people gathered.
