Melissa was in Smele’s office and was waiting for him to give her the information that she needed in order to help evacuate the sphere as needed.

MACO

Smele gulped again. “We have repair ships. Cargo handlers. Not enough. It would take .. everyone from the free spheres and second city to even try. But they wouldn’t come for us. They hate us.”

“That’s why we’re here. We have a large ship in orbit that can help. But I need to know approximately how many people you have and how quickly you can get the ships that you have ready to go.” She said.

MACO

Smele tipped his head as though trying to fathom whether this alien he’d never seen before was pulling his leg or not. About to make one choice, a klaxon that sounded like a pig in pain sounded. Smele glanced at it and paled. “There are .. some thousands of us here. We’re the largest. Our ships are only a few. Where else is there to go?” He looked again at the monitor where the alarm was sounding. “It will not take long; they are freighters or rai … repair ships.”

Melissa waited for the Sub Administrator to answer her. She opened her communicator =^=Captain, we are working on finding out how many ships the people here can get together. Once I have this information I will let you know.=^=

MACO

Melissa looked at Smele “Get them going.” She said “We’ll need to evacuate and we’ll figure the rest out after we get everyone off safely.” Melissa said as she stepped aside “I will get things organized with my ship and you start getting things going on your end. We will need to do an orderly evacuation.” She said opening her communicator again.

=^=Bonnie this is Tafoya. There are several thousand people on the sphere. THey have multiple ships that can help transport, but we are going to need the Bonnie to make sure everyone gets off.=^= As she listened to the klaxon sounding =^=We are going to have to move quickly. This is a mass evacuation and people are already starting to panic.=^=

=^=Roger, Tafoya… let’s see how many we can get into space as quick as we can. Bonnie is standing by with what transporter capability we can manage. But at this distance and with the interference of the sphere, I’m not sure how much good it will do. All shuttles have been scrambled to help with evac.=^=

“All right folks… this is it… any last ideas?” She had the feeling they were out of ideas at this point. She just hoped they could save enough to save the culture.
