The creature looked confused - apparently that was at least to some degree universal. “No, you are Regent.” The possible supposition on there was that the ‘rank’ Melissa had said had translated to another name with him. “Earth. Ground. This home has dirt?” he asked. “Is it near?” That apparently interested him greatly.“I am R’way. We are four here.” Looking at Melissa again he then said. “Five now.”
- R’wayMelissa smiled catching on that Regent was a rank “Yes, Earth has dirt. It is many light years away from here.” She said “We are explorers and our mission is to meet new species and discover new worlds. ” She added “It is nice to meet you R’Way. I am Melissa.” She said “This is Dr. Blackwell, one of our healers.” She said “This is Private Emerson, one of my staff.” She said speaking to R’Way.

The creature looked excited but evidently had no idea of distance. “Is that far?” he asked, hesitantly.
Blackwell simply gave the man a short curtsy of sheer panic as she didn’t know what was the right way to answer a greeting from a strange alien guard. She decided to let her superior take care of the conversation.
Dr. Grey - CMO
Glancing to Grey then back to Melissa he said, “Will trade for dirt. Need dirt.” There was more of a crowd forming with whispers of ‘dirt’ being spoken about back and forth amongst them. “Can we visit your world? Go with you?” That question brought more and more excitement and inquiries one on top of the other.
- WookieeMelissa looked at the others “It’s a long way away from here.” She said “You would be welcome to visit, unfortunately we are not scheduled to return to Earth for a long period of time.” She said “I think we might have some dirt or we can get some for our ship.” She said looking at Grey with a nod that she was okay.

Blackwell gave the MACO a reassuring smile showing that despite the weird circumstances she was fine, all in all, her first off ship mission was going quite well despite her original misgivings of the idea.NE. Dr Blackwell
R’way appeared quite excited about the prospect of ‘dirt’. “Would make good trade, yes? Dirt is both a resource .. and currency here. You have dirt, you are wealthy. You have enough dirt you can live.” The large alien looked about him at the growing crowd whose speech went from some curiosity to more wonder at the notion of dirt being available. “Where do you go from here - in this place? What do you see?”
- R’way“From here or from here on our vessel?” She asked to clarify “Here, we are exploring, learning about the various peoples here. On our vessel…that is up to our orders. I don’t know where we go from here.” She said as she looked around at the growing crowd. “If you will give me a moment, I will contact my Captain and see if they can send over some dirt for you.” She said as she took out her communicator =^=Tafoya to Bonneventure. I need you to transport some dirt to the sphere.=^= She said and waited for a confirming answer.

Before there was a reply there was a sickening lurch that made their stomach’s feel to shift in ways it wasn’t supposed to. It was as though the entire Sphere just shifted, letting ‘go’ and then jerking to a sudden halt. All the species there were caught by surprise. Food flew. Trade items clattered along the ‘street’ as it were. People strove to cling to anything. Most failed and fell. Tafoya ended up under two other aliens while Blackwell found herself tangled in a mass of trinkets and handmade jewelry.
The Sphere bobbed as though trying to find a new ‘hold’ and everyone looked to be holding their breath - all of them in no small way freaked by this. In the background a staticky siren began to sound that echoed poorly through the complex. The trouble was that nobody seemed to know what it was or what was going on.
- WookieeBlackwell looked around in panic as she was unexpectedly thrown to the floor. Being showered in jewelry had always sounded so romantic but the reality of it was very much not so.
Melissa righted herself as quickly as she could while helping the two aliens up as well, grabbing her communicator =^=Bonnie, what’s going on? We just felt a lurch and things are toppling.=^= She said as she moved to help Blackwell up and then check on the people that were with them, to make sure that they were not seriously injured. Melissa looked around for R’way as the sirens sounded “What’s going on and how can we help?” She asked once she found him.

Injuries looked to be mostly minor as the distances involved in this ‘fall’ was not huge, at least in this local area. The greatest injury possibility was where kiosks had fallen on or against people. R’Way was one of those who was pushing a chest away from him that had had him pinned between that and a wall. Standing shakily he rubbed his head - a trail of dark blood leaking down to his shoulder. “That,” he seemed to be dazed for many moments. “The only time I’ve heard it was when I was young and the city was under attack. My sire said it was a disaster siren.” He took a step but was off balance and stumbled.
- Wookiee[O] Melissa… help where you can. It seems their technology is worse off than we’re thought. It’s already beginning to fail. Find the leader for your region. I need to know how many people he has watch over and their transportation capabilities… were may be looking at an evacuation if it’s at all possible. But don’t put yourselves in more jeopardy. If you need to… leave…[O] She didn’t like saying it, but above all the rest, the crew was her responsibility. The MACO would hear the pain in Ari’s voice at having to give that order. It certainly wasn’t one she had wanted to give.

(Cross from bridge)Blackwell looked at the MACO with worry in her eye, although she had been trained to help those in need her self preservation instincts were already kicking in. “I’m ready to go, sir” She said simply.
NE Dr. Blackwell
Melissa responded [O]Understood Captain. I am with one of the security officers now. Dr. Blackwell will start working on injuries. We’ll keep you updated. She looked at one of the MACO’s she had with her “Stay with the Doc. ” She ordered “R’way, I need to speak with the leader of this region. We need to find out how many people are in this area.” She said “Our ship is waiting to send help. But we need information. Can you help me get that?” She said as she took out a first aid kit and began looking for where the blood was coming from to help staunch the bleeding until he could get medical attention.
As beings picked themselves up, the sphere they were on made ominous groaning sounds. Above them at the skin of the large sphere a lattice of cracks could be seen that were not there before. A great many of the people fled leaving only a handful - shop keepers who were picking up their goods and a few who were nursing leg injuries. The siren continued fitfully, echoing through the sphere. R’way slumped against the bulkhead. “I can,” he said before sliding to the deck. His eyes were unfocused. “Leader with your people. Sub-Administrator Smele is left.”
Melissa looked at Blackwell “Do what you can. McMichaels and Gonig are going to stay with you.” She said “I’m a comm call away if you need me.” SHe said “The MACOs have basic first aid and can help with some of the injuries.” She said and waited for R’way to lead the way to the leader.

R’way pointed down the corridor that all appeared to travel to the core of the Sp;here. “At the end is the Office. Smele will be there.”
-R’way
Melissa nodded and helped R’way “Just sit still. Let Dr. Blackwell take a look at you. I’ll go talk to Smele.” She said and took off at a run toward the office. [O]Captain, we have cracks forming in the interior of the sphere.[O] She said as she ran along [O]I am on my way to talk to the leader that is here. Once I am there, I will get back in contact with you. [O]
