Rachel placed her hands on her hips and gave the man a toothy grin. Her incredible height and athletic figure made her a far more imposing figure so the attempts at intimidation were truly adorable in her Grey eyes “That looks like maybe a second-degree chemical burn, sonny.” Her tone was a mixture of slight amusement and annoyance “So unless you suffer from congenital analgesia, which would be a truly interesting turn of events, I think you do remember when and where” She leaned in, practically staring straight through him “Well?” The was a slight harshness in her last tone, the game was starting to bore her, they wouldn’t like her when she was bored.Dr. Grey - CMO
Frank didn’t seem to be too concerned if the Locke liked him or not, perhaps he wasn’t the one the eye roll was directed at, but at ether case he watched with a slight amusement before turning his head ever so slightly back towards Locke.
“Well our job is done it appears. The chemicals are accounted for and our thief got what he deserved. What next, Ensign?” he asks in a cheerful tone, bouncing up on his heels with anticipation.
Lieut. j.g. Frank Silva, Science
Rachel turned very slowly and dramatically around at Silva’s comment, She had the same harsh look “Actually no, you neither have the chemicals nor justice from the thief, you have a suspect and nothing.” She didn’t give him a chance to respond before turning around and giving her Vulcan compatriot a roll of her eyes.

In response Stovik raised his own eyebrow before looking back at the young officer,”It would logically be difficult to have sustained that amount of damage which would have caused a significant amount of pain and not be aware of the cause of it. Were you working with chemicals?”

“I suffer from a case of hypocalcemia, or calcium deficiency. Genetically inherited from my grandmother’s side. Followed up with a slight anxiety of doctors,” Stasky pointed out. Though in his records it was noted that his ‘slight’ was actually heavier than he would admit and due to a past traumatic event in his past. It was gradually getting better, which explained his reason for avoiding sick bay despite the pain.
He then continued, “Everything was fine until about ten minutes ago. Then my skin started to burn and starting to look like this. I tried to patch it up, thinking it was just a minor issue. I also took some painkillers left over from a prior injury.”
He showed his hand again, “I’ve not been near the chemicals all day. If I did, I would know exactly what it was and how to treat it.”
Discomfort spread across his face briefly showing that his remedy to the pain was wearing off.
Naomi had been about to answer but she stopped when the CMO spoke. The woman pointed out the exact thing that she was about to and the Ensign snapped her mouth shut. She wasn’t about to redirect the woman’s attention over to her if she could help it. There had been enough conflict now as she tilted her head over her shoulder, her eyes idly watched the investigation happen.

Arched brows of shock and disapproval are all that the CMO gets in a response from Frank, but he stays by Naomi’s side as the villian continues to sing like a canary. A small smile of smug self assurance spreads across his features.

Stovik frowned,”None of what you have told us explains this. Tell us your movements today and everything you did.” He said as he tried to logically put together this puzzle. The man seemed sincere but his words did not corroborate his injuries.

The man sighed, his clean hand raised to his nose bridge and inhaled. He took a moment to ease then calm his growing anxiety before he began.
“I got up this morning and did my normal routine. Grabbed a donut and coffee from the cafeteria as I headed into the office, writing up reports. We had gotten a new sample of rock donated by the Vulcans so I was a bit excited to study it. Our data still lacked proper information. My assistance handled the chemicals used to break down the small sample into its basic components.”
He inhaled, breathing a moment, then continued, “That took most the morning so I headed to lunch. I got the lemon caper pasta, milk, and a few other sides. I decided to return to the animal observation lab.”
Stasky turned to Locke as he spoke, “I witnessed Ms. Locke and one of her superiors, Ms. Holtz, getting into a heated altercation. Ms. Locke was dismissed and I examined the animals’ living conditions. I had concerns over them, but when I brought them to Ms. Holtz, she informed me that Ms. Locke was neglecting-”
Naomi promptly snapped loud enough for the others to hear, “The nerve of that bloody woman.”
Stasky frowned, glaring at Naomi for a moment, and finally continued on.
“I returned to my quarters to write out a report, then locked my PADD up. I left for dinner and returned where I proceeded to open the case and couldn’t find my PADD. I searched my quarters until my fingers began to tingle and hurt slightly,” His nodded to his wounded hand.
“I left to pick up my medication thinking I might’ve hurt it, so I wrapped it on the way out. It just got worse when I arrived. Now… do you understand why I keep telling you I have no idea how this happened? The day was completely normal save for my PADD gone missing.”

Rachel looked at Stovik “Remind me to ask for more medical staff, this ship fits a crew of less than sixty and the science department is already so huge” He didn’t seem to be joking “Alright, Stovik please fix up the gentleman for me” the towering woman ordered before looking at the other two scientists “I’m inclined to believe the mans story” She said with a sigh “I think now is the time to bring in the armory folk. If what he says is true it appears that whatever he came in contact with unknowingly might be direcly related to your missing chemicals, it’s time to start a search”
Dr. Grey - CMO
“I would see if his padd could be located as well. Ship’s sensors may be able to lock onto his padd’s signal as it should be coded to him. It could be the substance was on his padd as well, I will take a sample from his hands to see if it is the missing substance. ” Stovik said as he turned and gathered the materials he would need to treat the man. Before he began to work on the man’s injuries he used a swab to take a sample from the man’s hand. He would need to find out what substance he had last been in contact with. He then washed the man’s hands with a saline solution to remove any lingering substance. He then coated the man’s hands with a healing salve of his own making before bandaging them.
“You will need to leave this on for 24 hours, ” He said to him as he completed his task.”Then you can remove the bandages.” Once he finished the treatment he took the sample swab over to a lab counter and began to perform the necessary tests to find out what the substance was.
