“You do not recall how you received this burn?”Stovik asked as he rolled an equipment tray over and then went and collected a squeeze bottle of sterilized saline solution to wash the burn area. After washing the area he applied a light air bandage that allow the burned area to breathe but protect it from becoming infected.
“Doctor Grey, could you come have a look at this?” Stovik asked as he finished dressing the wound.Healer Stovik
“Yes, I just stated that,” Stasky confirmed, “I’ve been trying to determine this all day, but I’ve come up empty.”
His voice came out slightly irritated as he held his hand out for treatment. He casually eyed the CMO that was called into the situation causing his anxiety to rise, clearly not happy more attention was being drawn to his wound. The fingers on his other hand curled slightly into a fist where they clenched and unclenched several times.
Rachel nodded to the Vulcan “Give me a moment to help my college, then we’ll look over my records. I’m not familiar with anyone showing up with these symptoms so be prepared that they did in fact not injure themselves, it’s possible they were more careful than that” She moved over to Stovik and the Ensign. She placed both hands on her hips and looked down at the injured man, well she looked down on everyone but still “What’s The problem ‘ere Stovie?”
Dr. Grey - CMO
The elder scientist leans over and whispers into the other scientist’s ear, “I am not sure that I am supposed to laugh at the doctor, but she is surprisingly funny.” He straightens back up and looks at the scene unfolding before him, not interjecting for the time being.
Lieut. Frank Silva, Science
Naomi just gave Silva a look of pure disbelief. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes, letting them pull back into her head. If it wasn’t for the attitude the pair could easily get along. Sadly, she was a terrible loser when it came to a battle of wits. Bitter even. Time would eventually heal it, but for now, the Ensign remained unimpressed.
“I believe these are the injuries we were just discussing to watch out for, Doctor.”Stovik said as he finished treating the cewman. “I assumed that you may wish to question him.”
Healer Stovik
Rachel examined the man’s hands “You know I think ye might be onta something” Rachel turned to the Scientists behind her “Lassie, Is he here on yer list” She called to Locke. Before she could answer the tall Doctor turned back to the injured man “So what happened there?”
Dr. Grey - CMO
The junior scientist stats with his hands folded behind his back, but turns his head to face Locke when she is addressed.
Lt. j.g. Frank Silva
When the CMO asked about the list, she snapped her attention back into the present. Naomi quickly looked Stasky over then mentally tried to recall his appearance from the file. They hadn’t personally interacted yet in the labs. Stasky preferred to supervise and organize the sample cases. Rarely was he ever in the chemical section of the lab.
She nodded, but her face showed skepticism in her features.
Rachel smiled as she looked at Stovik “You know, Healer, I do think that this is our man. Well done” she poked the Junior Officers shoulder “Now dear give us yer hand and yer truth”
Dr Grey - CMO
“What is the meaning of this? I already told your Healer, I don’t know how I got it. If I did, then it would so much easier to know what it is,” Stasky huffed slightly as he glared at the two women, “What do you mean I’m your ‘man’? For what?”
Though he tried to look intimidating, he was obviously failing with his average height and thin figure. He looked more like a beanpole than anything seriously dangerous. The chemical burns were centered upon his fingertips and palms. One could assume he had purposely burned himself. Not a single word of his sentence would utter a lie should Stovik chose to examine them.

Rachel placed her hands on her hips and gave the man a toothy grin. Her incredible height and athletic figure made her a far more imposing figure so the attempts at intimidation were truly adorable in her Grey eyes “That looks like maybe a second-degree chemical burn, sonny.” Her tone was a mixture of slight amusement and annoyance “So unless you suffer from congenital analgesia, which would be a truly interesting turn of events, I think you do remember when and where” She leaned in, practically staring straight through him “Well?” The was a slight harshness in her last tone, the game was starting to bore her, they wouldn’t like her when she was bored.
Dr. Grey - CMO
Frank didn’t seem to be too concerned if the Locke liked him or not, perhaps he wasn’t the one the eye roll was directed at, but at ether case he watched with a slight amusement before turning his head ever so slightly back towards Locke.
“Well our job is done it appears. The chemicals are accounted for and our thief got what he deserved. What next, Ensign?” he asks in a cheerful tone, bouncing up on his heels with anticipation.
Lieut. j.g. Frank Silva, Science
Rachel turned very slowly and dramatically around at Silva’s comment, She had the same harsh look “Actually no, you neither have the chemicals nor justice from the thief, you have a suspect and nothing.” She didn’t give him a chance to respond before turning around and giving her Vulcan compatriot a roll of her eyes.
Dr Grey - CMO
In response Stovik raised his own eyebrow before looking back at the young officer,”It would logically be difficult to have sustained that amount of damage which would have caused a significant amount of pain and not be aware of the cause of it. Were you working with chemicals?”
Healer Stovik
“I suffer from a case of hypocalcemia, or calcium deficiency. Genetically inherited from my grandmother’s side. Followed up with a slight anxiety of doctors,” Stasky pointed out. Though in his records it was noted that his ‘slight’ was actually heavier than he would admit and due to a past traumatic event in his past. It was gradually getting better, which explained his reason for avoiding sick bay despite the pain.
He then continued, “Everything was fine until about ten minutes ago. Then my skin started to burn and starting to look like this. I tried to patch it up, thinking it was just a minor issue. I also took some painkillers left over from a prior injury.”
He showed his hand again, “I’ve not been near the chemicals all day. If I did, I would know exactly what it was and how to treat it.”
Discomfort spread across his face briefly showing that his remedy to the pain was wearing off.
Naomi had been about to answer but she stopped when the CMO spoke. The woman pointed out the exact thing that she was about to and the Ensign snapped her mouth shut. She wasn’t about to redirect the woman’s attention over to her if she could help it. There had been enough conflict now as she tilted her head over her shoulder, her eyes idly watched the investigation happen.
