Posted by Lieutenant Rachel Grey (CMO) in Side Sim- Infirmary Posted by… suppressed (7) by the Post Ghost! 👻 [snip] : : : : Rachel opened her mouth to answer when she saw the man walk past “Oh for the love of” She said in an exasperated manner “Stovik would tend to Mr. Exacerbater over there and treat his arm before it drops of” She turned back to the Scientist “There are fifty-five souls onboard this ship who’s well-being I’m responsible for” She placed the rest of the apple on a tray next to her then both hands on her hips “Lying to avoid a write up is a way to get into deeper trouble Ms. Locke” her smile faded but still half remained “Now if you’d just come in here and asked for help without any of the lies this would’ve been over with by now” She removed her sunglasses and placed them in the left ocket of her white coat “So I’ll just ignore the blatant disregard for Protocols and violations the pair of you have commited.” Her smile widened again “So long as you never lie to me again” She placed her large hands on the shoulders of both scientists “Because I will know” He face looked friendly but her tone of voice was more intimidating “So now, who would have had access to besides the two of you and Lieutenant Barr?” She asked finally stopping her game as she’d been entertained enough. : : : : Dr Grey CMO

OOC: I’ve forgotten to write down the last name on this list, so if anyone recalls it… please let me know. I had to substitute a name in for now.

“Alright, fine… There’s only four individuals. Silva only had access because I was there. The others are Senior officers Stasky, Holtz, and Albach,” Naomi stated.

After each name, she lifted a finger to count it off from memory. She included herself but almost immediately placed it down afterwards, signaling she counted herself off the suspect list since she was helping to investigate it. It wouldn’t make much sense for her, the guilty, to bring attention to her own crime. It would’ve been easier to lie to Silva and merely just wipe any evidence than go a wild chase for a non-existence criminal.

However, the CMO might think differently. : : Stovik nodded and made his way over to where the other crewman had accosted the nurse.”As you are obviously not a physician you are not qualified to make that judgment, Creman. You have been injured while on duty and an examination is required by regulation. Please, allow me to access your injury.” The Vulcan Healer asked softly in a non confrontational tone of voice. : : Healer Stovik Silva returned his hands behind his back and waited for his superior to take control once more. Frank Silva

Baumann, AC
OOC: this is a side- sim and doesn’t happen during the Main Sim So I’m cutting Bauman’s responce and just answering in that thread.

Stasky stiffened when his vision caught Stovik approach, the Vulcan’s words injected into the conversation. His head snapped to the side as he examined the healer. His jawline tightened into a frown before he spoke, “I didn’t get this on duty. I’m not even sure how it happened or when.”

He extended his hand to allow Stovik to look it over. Underneath the bandages were patches of reddish skin where it blistered and peeled away to reveal additional skin layers. It wasn’t very deep, but they were obviously chemical burns. Especially notable around the forefingers and thumb.

–ENS Naomi D. Locke, Sci

“You do not recall how you received this burn?”Stovik asked as he rolled an equipment tray over and then went and collected a squeeze bottle of sterilized saline solution to wash the burn area. After washing the area he applied a light air bandage that allow the burned area to breathe but protect it from becoming infected.
“Doctor Grey, could you come have a look at this?” Stovik asked as he finished dressing the wound.

Healer Stovik

“Yes, I just stated that,” Stasky confirmed, “I’ve been trying to determine this all day, but I’ve come up empty.”

His voice came out slightly irritated as he held his hand out for treatment. He casually eyed the CMO that was called into the situation causing his anxiety to rise, clearly not happy more attention was being drawn to his wound. The fingers on his other hand curled slightly into a fist where they clenched and unclenched several times.

Rachel nodded to the Vulcan “Give me a moment to help my college, then we’ll look over my records. I’m not familiar with anyone showing up with these symptoms so be prepared that they did in fact not injure themselves, it’s possible they were more careful than that” She moved over to Stovik and the Ensign. She placed both hands on her hips and looked down at the injured man, well she looked down on everyone but still “What’s The problem ‘ere Stovie?”

Dr. Grey - CMO

The elder scientist leans over and whispers into the other scientist’s ear, “I am not sure that I am supposed to laugh at the doctor, but she is surprisingly funny.” He straightens back up and looks at the scene unfolding before him, not interjecting for the time being.

Lieut. Frank Silva, Science

Naomi just gave Silva a look of pure disbelief. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes, letting them pull back into her head. If it wasn’t for the attitude the pair could easily get along. Sadly, she was a terrible loser when it came to a battle of wits. Bitter even. Time would eventually heal it, but for now, the Ensign remained unimpressed.

“I believe these are the injuries we were just discussing to watch out for, Doctor.”Stovik said as he finished treating the cewman. “I assumed that you may wish to question him.”

Healer Stovik

Rachel examined the man’s hands “You know I think ye might be onta something” Rachel turned to the Scientists behind her “Lassie, Is he here on yer list” She called to Locke. Before she could answer the tall Doctor turned back to the injured man “So what happened there?”

Dr. Grey - CMO

The junior scientist stats with his hands folded behind his back, but turns his head to face Locke when she is addressed.

When the CMO asked about the list, she snapped her attention back into the present. Naomi quickly looked Stasky over then mentally tried to recall his appearance from the file. They hadn’t personally interacted yet in the labs. Stasky preferred to supervise and organize the sample cases. Rarely was he ever in the chemical section of the lab.

She nodded, but her face showed skepticism in her features.

Rachel smiled as she looked at Stovik “You know, Healer, I do think that this is our man. Well done” she poked the Junior Officers shoulder “Now dear give us yer hand and yer truth”

Dr Grey - CMO

“What is the meaning of this? I already told your Healer, I don’t know how I got it. If I did, then it would so much easier to know what it is,” Stasky huffed slightly as he glared at the two women, “What do you mean I’m your ‘man’? For what?”

Though he tried to look intimidating, he was obviously failing with his average height and thin figure. He looked more like a beanpole than anything seriously dangerous. The chemical burns were centered upon his fingertips and palms. One could assume he had purposely burned himself. Not a single word of his sentence would utter a lie should Stovik chose to examine them.

–ENS Naomi D. Locke, Sci

Rachel placed her hands on her hips and gave the man a toothy grin. Her incredible height and athletic figure made her a far more imposing figure so the attempts at intimidation were truly adorable in her Grey eyes “That looks like maybe a second-degree chemical burn, sonny.” Her tone was a mixture of slight amusement and annoyance “So unless you suffer from congenital analgesia, which would be a truly interesting turn of events, I think you do remember when and where” She leaned in, practically staring straight through him “Well?” The was a slight harsness in her last tone, the game was starting to bore her, they wouldn’t like her when she was bored.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Frank didn’t seem to be too concerned if the Locke liked him or not, perhaps he wasn’t the one the eye roll was directed at, but at ether case he watched with a slight amusement before turning his head ever so slightly back towards Locke.

“Well our job is done it appears. The chemicals are accounted for and our thief got what he deserved. What next, Ensign?” he asks in a cheerful tone, bouncing up on his heels with anticipation.
