The shuttle started to move off toward the interceptors. As they approached they could tell that their shuttle was quicker than the others and that the two ships approaching were not actually armed with any kind of energy weapon. Scans showed a crew of up to six in each with the ships more looking like a glorified tow truck than anything. One appeared to be a support craft, and it showed that it had arms - rockets and projectile weaponry. Depending on the ‘hit’ it may or may not be damaging to the Bonnie shuttle. Size wise they were larger than the shuttle, and showed a great deal of repair and patching. Propulsion was a low grade fusion engine whose output had seen better days.
- WookieeMelissa opened her comms link =^= We’re inbound with a squad of MACOs. We’ll take your port side.=^= She said as she moved into postion “Grimley, take weapons, Markus take science. Scan for incoming ships and have weapons primed and ready.” Melissa ordered.
MACO
[O] Understood. Aim for engines. We will attempt to disable, not destroy. Mission priority is prevention of removal of tech and protection of refugees. If necessary, I will break away from engagement to extract deployed crew and refugees. If you attempt comms with hostiles, they speak something similar to Vulcan. Not exact, but close enough for understanding. [O]

[O] Understood Lt. [O] Melissa turned to the team in the shuttle “You heard the armory chief. Disable them don’t destroy them.” She said as she manuevered the shuttle to the port side of the other shuttle and set up matching speed and trajectory.

A comms from one of the two ships came in. It was on a very low bandwidth and barely registered on the unit, but it did beep. When it came through it appeared to have a form of translator compatibility. It basically said [o] This is our prize. Retreat. [o]
- WookieeBaumann listened and then keyed the comms, making sure the exchange was shared with the Marine contingent. [o] Removal of your prize endangers others. This will not be allowed at this time. Hold position so we can negotiate. [o]
Baumann, AC
[o] You will not take our prize. It is ours. Many precedes few. [o] One veered off to be around the shuttle while the other faced off with it, or at least flew next to it.
- Wookiee[o] We understand that you have needs. We can assist you, and are willing to do so. We are explorers from another world. We will help you if you give us the chance. But not if you jeopardize others. This is your last warning. Hold your position or we will fire. [o]
Baumann, AC
There was a long pause before a far more confused message came [o] What? There are no worlds. They have all been sucked into the Eye. [o] The vessel moved in closer - so close that they could see reptilian like faces peering through port holes at them. [o] What are you? [o] That voice sounded more .. panicked.
- WookieeShe tapped the console on her chair to call to the away teams. [O]Status update… MACO? Baumann? What’s happening out there? We’ve moved closer to assist but We can’t penetrate the sphere much to see what’s going on.[O]
Ari
COBaumann keyed the comms to include the Bonaventure Bridge. [O] As I said, we are explorers from outside your sphere. We mean no harm, and wish to assist those in need of aid. To do so, however, you will need to halt your removal of your prize. Again I say: We will not allow you to jeopardize the safety of those who rely on it. We are here to help, but you will need to make a gesture of good will on your part as well. [O] Baumann then muted the Raiders and then said to the Marine contingent [O] Block their trajectory if possible. Do not fire unless fired upon. [O]
Baumann, AC
The Captains voice came through on the Bonaventure’s frequency. [O] Lieutenant Baumann, you are hereby field promoted to Lieutenant Commander and made XO for the duration of the mission. T’Leia is your adviser. Mission parameters haven’t changed. I have every faith in you. [O] Baumann’s face remained calm but his jaw clenched tightly. In his typical even and calm manner, he responded [O] Understood, Captain. [O] Now wasn’t the time to get into a discussion about politics and timing.
Baumann, XO
The two ships themselves looked, by their rickety progression in space, to be deliberating on the situation and struggling to reach a decision. Making a close pass in turning that brought them within meters of one another, first one of the raiders, then the second, turned away. Their course was for what the sensors could pick up, a large cluster of energy and life readings some distance away.
- WookieeMelissa watched and matched the raiders speed and trajectory [O]We are from a place called earth in the Sol system that was not sucked into the Eye.[O] she added [O]We are explorers and our mission is to help those in need. [O] She repeated the sentiments already spoken, hoping that it might get through to one of them and they would use some sort of logic.
MACO
Baumann watched the change in trajectory and then radioed the MACO. [O] Colonel Tafoya. I suggest we assist with the evacuation of the refugees who requested help. Please alter course to these coordinates. [O] and he gave her the location of the docking area. [O] Once we have them safe, we can attempt to contact the others at their own base of operations. Being on their home area may make them more amiable and comfortable dealing with strangers. Do you concur? [O]
He then changed course back to the other party and Dal’s people. [O] Bonaventure. Raider vessels heading for these coordinates. I am returning to assist in the evacuation. Advise that once refugees are secure we attempt to contact the other faction at those coordinates for fact-finding and negotiations. [O]
