There has been some confusion around just what is where and where you all are and what is before you.

The Dyson Sphere, small by the concept of some, still takes in a tremendous area of space, a solid sphere (the skin anyway) of metal construct that surrounds a black hole singularity. Perhaps it was once a sun, perhaps not, it is there at the center of the space inside the sphere. This is what Dal’s people call the ‘Pit’. The interior of the Dyson Sphere has been ravaged. Perhaps it was time and lack of maintenance or perhaps something else, but the interior surface is all but scraped clean leaving metal reinforcing girders bare which keep the structure from caving into the singularity. Dal’s people - and by association others - live in ball like pods connected by tubes, looking not unlike grey glowing bulbs shaped like molecules. These are held in place by long chains bolted to the surface of the sphere to keep them from being drawn into the Pit/singularity. As well, whether this is adapted technology or old technology, there are a series of satellites between the living area of Dal’s people and the singularity. They are large gravity repulsors or anti-grav units that hold back the main force of the singularity’s pull.

Dal and his people - a bipedal humanoid form that is in form a mix of reptile and bird - have been living here as long as any memory resides. Whether by desperation or if this is a common thing, raiders by more powerful clans have been taking to stealing the repulsors for their own survival.

Right now raider ships are bearing down on one of the repulsors. Dal’s travel pod cannot carry them all away, nor can the Bonnie’s pod fit the rest. They need more help. Or to find a solution. Outside the Dyson Sphere the Bonnie is completing its negotiations with an AI presence called Heiro LY, a Watchman who is there to defend against threats. Within the Sphere other Watchmen were to be there, but they have been silent - as well as the Editors, an unknown personality who communicated at one time between the inside and outside worlds.

Thank you, Gene! That has cleared up some confusion for me. Am I right in assuming that the raiders are probably of Dal’s race? It sounds like they might be, of course my character won’t this yet as she hasn’t asked:)

Hi Krys. Fair assumption. May or may not be but they are from the interior of the Sphere so cousins at least.

Add that the CO has been given permission by the entities outside to protect those inside. She has promised to try not to kill wontonly, but already says it may not be possible to not kill at all. She has given permission for the MACO to go inside and assist Baumann, T’Leia and the rest in protecting those they have been talking to.
Ari is hoping to get both sides to a negotiation table to perhaps work towards bettering the inside of the sphere as well as seeing why the ‘Editors’ have fallen silent.
