T’Leia looked at Dal and Alan, knowing Alan would translate for her if needed.”Prepare your people for evacuation.” Once the raiders were dealt with perhaps they could go back to their original job of fixing the machinery.

Commander T’Leia

“Dator kanok-veh tor sashalotau.” (Prepare everyone to evacuate.) Alan translated, not as much for Dal as for anyone else nearby who wasn’t as accustomed to T’Leia’s Vulcan. “Etek bolaya weht wak.” (We need more time.) he whispered, at this point speaking the language unconsciously.

-Lt(j.g.) Alan Dysart, Linguist

“Hopefully the Captain can stall them,” Naomi mumbled under her breath, too low for anyone else to hear her.

She immediately looked at her senior officers for guidance into what to do. There wasn’t much in her area of expertise to do, but she could still help with the evacuation. At Alan’s statement about more time, Naomi nodded then said in an equally quiet whisper.

“We need to do what we can right now.”

She inhaled then spoke louder, “So… who do I need to help first?”

–ENS Naomi D. Locke, Sci.

Baumann looked at Locke and said “Agreed, Ensign. If you wish to begin prioritizing those we need to evacuate first, it would save us a great deal of time and confusion.” He then looked at Commander T’Leia. “Ma’am, with your permission. I can take a small group of security officers and try to… delay… the raiders. We can always fall back to this location for defense.”

Baumann, AC

OOC: Okay now I can post as Gene has cleared up some confusion as I was having difficulty envisioning what were looking at so have not been very effective in giving orders due to that. This may change some of the orders my character has given up to now. Ok I have reread and have decided on a different course of action. Please note the different commands following. The Shuttle pod is equipped with a phaser cannon and a titanium hull, we will have to hope it is enough.

IC:

T’Leia had been listening to those around her and mulling over their available course of action and came to a decision. Deciding to act on what Baumann had suggested.
“Yes, Lieutenant. I think while Dal and his people prepare for the worst case scenario of evacuation you need to take the shuttle out to those raiders and try and stop them. Try communication first if you can but time will be short. You may need to restrain them first before being able to speak. Try to stop them without lethal force if at all possible but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or one. You may need to be lethal. ” She took a deep breath as she finished this command. As a Vulcan she had been raised to be non violent but in a situation like this, lives were at stake. She could only make the most logical decision she was capable of.

Commander T’Leia

Baumann didn’t speak, only nodded once and then turned to Woods. “Mr. Woods, you have command of the security team here. Coordinate efforts with Commander T’Leia.” and he turned and ran back down the passage to the shuttle and the team securing their landing site.

Baumann, AC

Turning to Dal and Dysart T’Leia said,”Ask Dal what we can do to assist with the evacuation plans, Lieutenant.” She said as she looked around to the rest of the team. The CMO would be a good asset as there was bound to be injured among those preparing for evacuation.

Commander T’Leia

Rachel moved next to the Commander and leaned in “They’ll want to prioritize who they want on their wee pod, children, those bearing child. Those sorts. But there are many here who are malformed, with time I can reset bones and fix minor injuries but not much before any fighting begins” She informed the Commander inn hushed tones.

Dr. Grey - CMO

T’Leia nodded to Dr. Grey agreeing with her suggestion before glancing back at Dysart to be sure he would translate for Dal.

Commander T’Leia

Alan listened to T’Leia and then to Rachel before turning to Dal. “Mokuhlek etek gol-tor k’ sashalotaya dotoran? kuv tra’ tor fan-veh vi bolau tor nam-tor sashalotau wuh’rak, etek mokuhlek dvun au tor wuh khom t’ wuh zehl. Fan-veh svi’ bolaya t’ akali hasuk tun mokuhlek nam-tor khartau tor hassu Grey.” (Can we assist with evacuation plans? If there is anyone who needs to be evacuated first, we can move them to the front of the line. Anyone in need of urgent medical care can be directed to Doctor Grey) he indicated Rachel.

-Lt(j.g.) Alan Dysart, Linguist

[O] They are coming, Baumann. Orders are to protect but not kill if it can be avoided. We have… permission… as it were, to assist those being attacked. But stun rather than kill where possible. And I want to see if we can get both sides to a discussion table. [O] Ari’s voice came over the comm. Her voice was struggling to remain calm, but he would recognize the worry in its lilt.

CO

Naomi nodded then overheard the CO’s message. Confusion crossed her expression briefly. She looked to Rachel who had begun to move toward the XO and lean in. The younger officer suspected they were having a hushed conversation. Not wanting to eavesdrop, she moved to Dal and waited until the those she was supposed to help were pointed out. There wasn’t much more she could do since no additional instruction was given.

At this point the two elders turned and moved to where many of the clan was clustered. With both gestures and short cursory words they urged them to move. A half dozen immediately went down a ladder to a level below, and a smaller number went up. The rest, yet a mix of perceived genders and ages collected the young among them into a group.

Dal replied to Locke and Alan. “They gather what is needed. Food. Necessities. The others go to the pod. We can all fit, but the pod will not support us all. Not enough air/power.”

From the window, one of the crew would see two other dots, faint but approaching more slowly from the opposite direction of the other two.
