Natalia cursed her way back up to the Bridge, gliding through the tubing in zero G was not her idea of fun. Bumping her head frequently made things worse. She could feel her mood changing. They were stuck in the water and the Bridge crew seemed to be faffing. She hoped Paige was in tow and that they could get a solid plan together. She turned around to look and see and banged her head on a bulkhead.
“Ah… Fu..... blin. She then went off on tirade in Russian. A few minutes later she made it to the bridge entrance, she opened the door and stepped out and mopped her brow. She expected to see the bridge crew in the briefing area.

Commander Petrenkov (CSO/XO)

“If you had gone a bit slower you might not have hit your head,” Paige grumbled through clenched teeth. She had pulled herself up to the bridge by one hand, her other arm, still partially dislocated, was actively throbbing.

Natalia fought the urge to answer back, Paige was in pain it was understandable she was snappy.

Stewart made his way over to the briefing area, hanging on to the rails and bulkheads.
“Commanderr,” he said in greeting to the XO as he made his way in, grabbing on to the back of a chair before sliding into it gratefully. His stomach was not liking this light gravity and he was glad he had no food in it at the moment.

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

Rachel moved to the lift door and stood next to the XO with her wide smile. The red-haired Doctor stood a good foot taller than Petrenkov, her frizzy red hair still only held back with some bed straps from sickbay. She followed the XO, waving her medical scanner around “What lovely green eyes” She said more as a statment than a compliment.

Dr Grey- CMO

Paige looked over at the doctor inquisitively as she bounced over to a chair. It was nice to have at least a bit of gravity again.

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE

Natalia raised an eyebrow at Doctor Gray.
“Thank you?” She replied gliding over to a chair near head of the table. She crossed her arms and waited for the Captain to take his seat and begin the meeting, more of a general sit rep really and a way for moving forward.

Commander Petrenkov CSO/XO

Rachel gave the commander an odd look as if confused by her words and blinked a few times before registering it, then she smield widely and nodded and moved to the Chief Engineer, giving her a visual inspection as well as a medical scan “Do ye need both hands to keep the ship from exploding?” she asked cheerfully pointing at the injured shoulder.

Dr Grey- CMO

“To keep the ship from exploding? I could probably figure out a way to do that one handed. But it might make it easier to keep us all from floating around if I had both hands.”

Rachel cackled at the Chief’s words, then pocketed the scanner and started rummaging in her medkit.

What a strange woman. Natalia thought noticing the odd look Rachel gave her. She looked around seeing everyone but the Captain.
“I guess we might as well make a start, the Captain can catch up. Given we have very limited communication I though it prudent to get a situation report and then make a plan moving forward.” She paused and then looked at Paige.
“Chief, would you mind updating us on the situation in Engineering?” She asked.

Commander Petrenkov CSO/XO

“Well it’s not good. Whatever hit us took out a major power junction. We were able to control the fire, but we had a few casualties in the process. I have a team chasing a power issue that is causing the problems we are having with gravity, communications and deflector control. Same with the port thrusters. Until we get that cleared up, we aren’t going to be able to get those systems fully back online.

“It’s going to be a hot minute before we are able to get moving again.”

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE

As Paige described the situation, Rachel was busy rummaging in her medkit, she prepped an anti-inflammatory agent and injected the Chief Engineer, then measured a shoulder brace “When we have a moment, I’d like to try closed reduction” She said quietly as she put the brace around the shorter woman.

Dr Grey- CMO

Stewart still felt a bit new to the crew so watched the two women curriously as he listened to Engineerings update. He really didn’t have much to add to the discussion other than it seemed any adversary’s were not in evidence at the moment.

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

“Thats all I’ve got right now Commander.”

“Go for it,” Paige said as she gritted her teeth, turning way from the doc, she didn’t want to watch.

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE

Rachel nodded and got to work. She gently grabbed his forearm and upper arm and started a gradual rotation, preparing to pop the shoulder back in. She went slowly but surely.

Natalia nodded.
“Thank you Chief.” She replied with a smile.
“Commander Stewart, what’s the situation on the bridge? I imagine we’re out of the asteroid field by now?” She asked turned to the old Scotsman.

Petrenkov CSO/XO

Stewart blinked, coming back from his musings. “Aye Commanderr. We be out. The Chief listed all the systems that be down but we have shields, warp and navigation with togglings. Don’t think we be going anywherre too quickly though. Scans show no ships in the vicinity at the moment so Ah am guessing we have lost our pursuers forr now. We be doing what we can to watch forr them though.” Personally he certainly hoped they would be going nowhere until repairs were made. They were a sitting duck.

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

Marceau apparently agreed with that thought because he said, “Let’s get some repairs done. We won’t be help if we ourselves are too damaged to do anything.”

~ Capt Renault

‘Captain obvious strikes again,’ Paige thought to herself. She took a deep calming breath, she had been working to keep the sarcasm to a minimum, some people just didn’t get it.

“That is what my teams have been trying to do, and what I was doing before I was summoned to the Bridge. Could actually use a few extra hands, thankfully the Commander came down to help.”

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE

Natalia blinked No shit. She thought in response to the Captain.

Rachel stopped rotating the CE’s arm and was ready to start the actual procedure. She looked in her bag and frowned; she’d not thought of bringing any cloth, so she improvised. She removed the straps from her medical bag and extended them to their longest, then quickly unzipped her uniform and let the jumpsuit top hang loose as she took off her t-shirt, revealing an identical Starfleet T-shirt under her first one. She tore the primary t-shirt up and wrapped it around the strap as a sort of mild cushion as she put it around Paige’s torso and grabbed her fellow Scotsman’s hands and put the straps into his “Hold” She said simply and firmly.

The tall redhead put her hands on Garrison’s arm again and smiled widely “Donnae worry, It’ll only hurt for a moment” She cocked her head and started, gently lifting the arm up “Sickbay is crowded but we’ve started triage, I sent one’a mine ta help the injured in engineering.” She reported.

Dr Grey- CMO

Stewart watched the doctor work with a bit of fascination. The woman could certainly improvise he mused to himself, stroking his beard. Then coming back to himself again he looked toward the Captain and Commander.

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

Natalia nodded, she had been waiting for the Captain to respond and the silence was beginning to get awkward. She then finally spoke up.
“Commander Stewart, can you spare anyone to help in Engineering, or even go and lend a hand yourself? I’ll work with Lt Laursen to see if we can plot a course through the asteroids once repairs are complete.” She turned to Paige.
“If we all lend a hand how long do you think it’ll take for repairs to get done?” She asked.

Commander Petrenkov CSO/XO

Placing a hand gently against his own chest, Marceau nodded. “All officers not engaged in medical care can assist with repairs. Lieutenant, pair non-engineers with engineers. Commander Petrenkov can help organise everything.” He said, volunteering the XO.

~ Capt Renault

Natalia nodded.
“Aye, Captain.” She replied simply.

“Aye, aye. Actually Ah do have some mechanical expertise, mind ye that’s on an Earth’s water ship’s engine which may not be like yers. But Ah am willing and able to learn”

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

Rachel did the final hard push up finally relocating the Chief Engineers shoulder the quickly put her arm in a sling. She grabbed the remains of her secondary t-shirt and tied them to her waist, then zipped up her jumpsuit.

Dr Grey- CMO

Paige winced and let out a grunt as she felt her shoulder pop back in. As the doc helped her into a sling, she rotated slightly to see how much it hurt. She was definitely going to be sore, but that was something to deal with later.

“Aiden, look for the signal, s’il vous plaît,” Marceau said. “Helena, plot a course that takes us around the asteroids, not through it.” His voice was strained with pain.

~ Capt Renault
“Aye, Captain.” Aiden was for once not upbeat, simply matter of fact, almost monotone. “I’ll share the results with the helm as they come in.”

“Aye, Captain.” Helena said setting the ship into standby for an all stop.

“Please no more asteroids. Right now we need to find out what is causing the power drain, as that is stopping us from restoring artificial gravity.”

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE

“No more asteroids,” Helena agreed. It was going to take her awhile to find a safe course to the signal anyway. She swiveled her chair and stood to make her way to the back of the bridge and the navy computer. Except she forgot that Grey had numbed her leg and she had a rather nasty bump on her head. The lighter gravity helped, but Helena went down anyway.

Lt. Laursen, Helm/Navigation Officer

Marceau moved to help her, but he was still injured himself and swiftly regretted that decision. “Doctor Grey,” he called, “Our helmsman is down.”

~ Capt Renault

“I’m fine, Capt…” Well too late now.

Rachel literally leapt from where she stood, over the ramp and used the Captain’s chair to stop her forward momentum, and she was crouched beside Laursen, her Medical scanner in hand “I’m starting to think you have a thing for me Flygal” She said with her usual wide crooked smile “Either that or a penchant for masochishm”

Dr Grey- CMO

Helena laughed. “More like clumsy. I forgot that despite how hard my head is, it can still get damaged.” She lifted a hand to the back of her head and grimaced. “My replacement should be here soon, Doc. I’ll leave the navigating to him.” Her head hadn’t been light headed earlier but getting up seemed to have brought it to the fore front. Her leg was too numb to feel anything much less pain.

Lt. Laursen, Helm/Navigation Officer

Rachel tsked at Helena and put her hand under the pilots back and helped her up “Any more falls and I’m going to start carrying you around. I can have engineering build me a navigator-shaped backpack” like with most of Rachel’s suggestions or ideas it wasn’t clear if she was being serious or not.

Dr Grey- CMO

“Doc are you getting sweet on me?” Helena asked. She wouldn’t normally joke like that while on duty. Sometimes humor was best in stressful situations. She got her feet under her and her balance. “Thank you. I’m alright.”

Lt. Laursen, Helm/Navigation Officer

Rachel cackled “I’ve always been sweet on ye, lass” She gave her a firm pat on the back , not enough force to push her even with the weak leg “You can tell because I’m going ta let you walk with me down to sickbay to check out that skull” She said with a wide smile

Helena almost laughed, but thought better of it. She nodded and moved toward the lift.

Stewart rose and looked toward the CE. “Lieutenant Garrison, would ye like meh to accompany ye down to Engineering?”

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

Ensign Aiden Conlon
Linguist/Comms Officer

OOC: On the upside the gravity on the bridge was only at 50% so the fall was a little lighter and perhaps more dreamlike slow motion :) .. Gene

Rachel looked at the lift then the CE “Those blasted things operational?” She asked with a grin, she seemed delighted by the idea of crawling through the ship again.

Dr Grey- CMO

Now that things had slowed down a little, the adrenaline had worn off and suddenly his injuries seemed much more painful. He looked pale and stiff as a board as he tried not to move.

~ Capt Renault

Helena stopped and looked at Renault. She knew that look. He was in a lot of pain. She was in no position to order the captain anywhere, but Grey was. Helena looked at her to see if she noticed.

“I doubt that you’d go far in the lifts. If you can’t make it through the tubes, I’d recommend staying in place.

“Commander,” she said towards Stewart, “it would be the best place to start. I had a team at the deflector, but I’m not sure where they moved on to from there. But Engineering would be a good place to start.

“Any other questions? Or can I get back to fixing the ship?”

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE
“Lead the way!” Stewart said as he bounced on his toes and rubbed his hands together. Doing some engineering work seemed to have made the old CAO feel younger.

OOC: Hi Skipper .. I left you an e-mail .. please have a look :)
OOC: Deflector .. one engineer is still there. The others moved on forward to look at the thruster issue .. Gene

~Lt. Commander Alexander Stewart CAO

Natalia looked around, everyone seemed to have gathered themselves. She looked over at the Captain and Helena, it seemed they both had injuries that needed tending to. She noted they were both with Dr Gray so she ignored them and moved over to Conlon.
“Mr Conlon, I can have one of my Science Officers assist with pinning down that signal, if you like?” She asked.

Commander Natalia Petrenkov XO/CSO

“By all means, ma’am,” Aiden agreed readily.
Lt. Laursen, Helm/Navigation Officer

Rachel seemed to perk up and looked around curiously, she could sense her name being yankified somewhere, and that thought quickly faded away as she saw the Captain looking like a third of his national flag.

“You have the bridge, Commander?” Marceau said, the tone questioning but the expected answer ‘yes’. “J’ai besoin de assistance… médicale.”

~ Capt Renault

Natalia nodded.
Ouis” she replied and headed out onto the bridge.

Rachel already had her scanner out and was checking out the Captain “Comms, I need a runner sent to Sickbay. Cabinet marked emergency supplies, Case marked Secondary Medical Equipment” There was no slight haziness to her voice or the usual unfocused look; this was all business “Garrison, I’ll need the lifts to move any critical patients between decks, there’s only so much I can do without sickbay. Either the lift or whichever alternative is plausible.

Dr Grey- CMO

“On it, Doctor!” Given the lack of people handy, Aiden designated himself runner and took off for Sickbay.
Marceau smiled a strained smile. “I’m not dying,” he said. There was inflammation around his injuries. The temporary adhesive on one of his broken ribs had failed and the rib had punctured his lung. Marceau hadn’t noticed because he was already breathing shallowly, his chest hurt too much to take deeper breaths.

~ Capt Renault

Laursen’s eyes snapped up. She’d heard that tone plenty over the years. That calm nonchalant confidence, hiding something really wrong. She didn’t say anything though, and there really wasn’t anything she could do to help.

Paige slowly turned and looked at Grey. She was thankful for the Doc’s help in resetting her shoulder, but her patience was already gone. “Try the transporter, I think it might still be operational. Now if you will excuse me, I have some engineers to see about getting gravity back, so you don’t float away from your patients in sickbay.”

Without waiting any longer, Paige turned back towards the maintenance shaft and dropped in, heading back to the engine room.

Lt. Paige Garrison - CE

Rachel clenched and unclenched her fist watching the engineer go away, she didn’t retort, she was far too childish for a verbal spar.

Stewart swiftly followed the CE. It had been years since he had gotten his hands dirty in an engine room so he was rather looking forward to this.

Linguist/Comms Officer

The door to the lift opened and En Andres Serrano half floated half walked in. He looked around and made his way over to Helena. “What’s up, Lt?” She grinned. “I’ve been ordered to sickbay, hit my head. Need you to take the controls. Commander Petrenkov wants to plot a course to the signal we recieved. Those astroids are too dangerous though. That’s how we got damaged. We got hit by one. They are too close together, too fast, and too erratic. We were going to try going above or under the field to get closer. Conlon had to run a message to sickbay, but once he comes back, you can work with him to get the location.” Helena set a hand to her head.

“No problem Lt. Go get taken care of.” Serrano moved to the back of the bridge and the navigation computer and pulled up the scans of the field that they had and the approximate location of the signal.

Helena turned to Grey, “Hey doc, do you want me to head down to medical?” She was not going to wander off without telling Grey. The woman scared her.

Lt. Laursen, Helm/Navigation Officer

A call came in from the lower decks. [o] Bridge this is Ensign Gagarin. We are about to initiate EVA to fix the damaged port thruster. Please confirm we are a go for egress. [c]
- NE Sasha Gagarin, Eng

Rachel shook her head “Nay, can’t move the Captain, have a seat and remain concious, oversee the pup if you want” The pup in question was the newly arrived pilot. She didn’t speak of her concern that without direct supervision either patient might drop without treatment, hopefully her runner would be back soon, she didn’t have the tools to properly stabalise the Captain for rougher movement. On the bright side if she didn’t get supplies she’d get to improvise with things at hand and improvisation was the most fun in jazz and surgery.

Dr Grey- CMO

A couple minutes later was when the comms officer finally returned, medical case slung over a shoulder and cross-body. “Here you go,” he panted, walking over to Grey and handing her the equipment. “I’ll be glad when the lifts are back.”

Ensign Aiden Conlon
Linguist/Comms Officer

Helena nodded and carefully found herself a seat. What was wrong with Marceau that Grey couldn’t move him. Her eyes lingered on her life long friend, etched with worry. Then she turned to Serrano. He shook his head, “Close your eyes Lt. You look ready to pass out. I can manage a navigational plan. Maybe not the execution, but the plan.”

Lt. Laursen, Helm/Navigation Officer

A repeat call came in from the lower decks. [o] Bridge this is Ensign Gagarin. We are about to initiate EVA to fix the damaged port thruster. Please confirm we are a go for egress. [c]
- NE Sasha Gagarin, Eng

Serrano pressed the comm button [O]We are holding stationary, Gagarin. We won’t be going anywhere for awhile. You are go.[C]
