Natalia had been on the ship for a day or so, the Sojourner was enroute to their mission posting. She had been eager to get stuck in and meet her department. As such she had arranged to meet Naomi in her Office at 08:00 hours. Natalia sat at her desk and sipped her steaming hot coffee reading the department update as she waited for Naomi to arrive.

“What did I do now?” Naomi muttered to herself.

Her eyes flicked about as she made haste down the corridor toward the XO’s office. She reflected on all her past tasks within the last month or so, but nothing screamed trouble. So she reasoned it had to be something else. As she approached the office, she took a deep breath and purged her anxiety. It wasn’t easy as she tried to calm.

She pressed the ringer and mentioned her name. Once the doors opened, she stepped in and waited for addition instruction.
