Shiavik had never been the type to sit down. With the high metabolism the Andorian people had been cursed with, she was no stranger to the distraction of everything surrounding her. It was almost as if she had naturally evolved to have a small case of ADD. Although, she insisted it was nothing more than casual no bouts of hyperactivity. With this hyperactivity, came the need to move, the desire to put that energy into something productive to waste it, whenever it had no purpose to be stored. And ever since she had regained her ability to walk, those efforts had been put into exercise and training.

Dressed in a slim, black top with accommodating leggings and basic tennis shoes, she stood atop a thin mat, intended for standing yoga. With her shoes briefly discarded to the edge of the blue mat, she found herself completing a series of basic moves intended to liberate her body before she began any rigorous activity. After all, when she had face paralysis, her discs and joints had been severely weakened. Thus, she had to be careful, unless she wished to face unnecessary pain or further pressure upon those joints.

Standing with her spin straightened, her feet touching and her hips aligned with her shoulders, she drew upwards her hands, her gaze following them to the ceiling in a simple stretch. For the following minutes, she completed several more, having the same purpose as the former. Once completed, she knelt down to return her shoes to her feet, so that she might be able to get on with her exercise. Tying the last of her laces, she quickly rolled up her mat, wrapping the hold around it, before setting it by a bottle of water.

Having completed all of the relevant boarding appointments and meetings Dunlap found that he had some free time on his hands having also finished unpacking due to this he felt his time would be well spent working out in the ship’s gym deciding that this was the most beneficial way to spend his time he left his quarters and began his route towards the gym. It had taken around 5 minutes to casually make his way to the gym via the multitude of corridors and turbolifts. Turning left Dunlap entered a large open plan room this was the ship’s gym. Peering around Sebastian observed a multitude of different pieces of equipment each served a different purpose and benefitted the body in a number of different ways. Entering the room Seb allowed for the door to shut noticing an Andorian crew member working out he remained silent so not to disturb them placing a mat down in the corner of the room Sebastian executed several stretches. These stretches allowed for tension to be removed from Seb’s body and for his muscles to loosen up ready for a workout. Upon completion of the warm-up Dunlap moved over to a vacant treadmill and began a cardiovascular warm up. The room remained silent whilst he did so.

Lt Jg Sebastian Dunlap.
Armoury Officer.

As an Imperial Guard, Shiavik had been trained since a child to fight. Although, it was no secret that the Andorian tactics in battle were far different than human. Despite this, she had no intentions of allowing her reassignment to take away from her capabilities as a guard. After all, she had no idea just how momentary this assignment might be. Adjusting her stance, she began with a quick jog around the gym, just to give her a boost before beginning any martial arts. The problem remained, though, Andorians tired quite quickly, so she had to pace herself to the point where her exercise would be beneficial, rather than unnecessarily tiring. Catching sight of the officer, on her jog around the gym, she gave only a slight nod, coming to a leisure stop by her mat. Removing her shoes, she set the aside, knowing it was easier to practice this art when not wearing shoes. Placing her feet in a wide stance, she envision a man, someone who would at least be a bit larger than she was, and with this in mind, she slowly began to pull into routine, starting off with leisure movements, intended to distract an opponent. Now, her opponent wasn’t real, but this was just practice and everything meant something.

Melissa headed to the gym after she had finished her classes for the day. She felt like she was overloaded with information, however, it was interesting information and she was learning a great deal. Melissa stopped at the door and took in everything. She was dressed in a tank top and shorts, the tank top revealed a multitude of scars in various shapes and sizes. There was a large round one right in the middle of her neck from where she had been shot by her father. Every once in a while she still had a great deal of pain, but more often than not she just worked through it.

She gave a nod to Jharaas as she walked over to one of the running machines and put down her water bottle and towel and started at a slow jog before increasing the speed until she was at a full run.

Barber Tafoya.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of Baber, taking a doubleshot to make certain her eyes weren’t screwing with her. Figuring she chat with Tafoya, once that running cycle of hers was complete, Jharaas returned to her series of inward kicks and jabs. Without a visible opponent, it was difficult to tell whether or not she was messing something up. However, Shiavik knew quite well when she was, and would stop, opting to restart the routine, in effort to train herself not to make the same foolish mistake.

Minutes passed, and the strain of continuous movement began to draw on her. Knowing better than to overexert her body, after a steady half hour of non-stop movement, she drew to a leisure close, for the moment being. With a metabolism as fast as the Andorian’s, their fatal flaw was not their egos, but instead their quick tire. Running her hands over her forehead, she headed back to her mat, slinging up her water bottle to take a few sips from it and rest for a few seconds. It sucked, but it was stupid not to listen to your body.

Melissa’s program ended, she had run about 4 miles. She slowed the treadmill and then stepped off “Lt, do you want to spar?” She asked walking over to Jharaas, as she took took another drink of water.

Barber-Tafoya

Glancing up, the Lieutenant rose to her feet, setting the water down. “All right,” She agreed, finding it would be far more beneficial to spar with a real person. “How was your run?”
