Ensign Fletcher was sitting at one of the stations at the side of the Sickbay. On the screen in front of him was one of the latest medical journals sent from Starfleet. On the station next to him was a PADD which he was using to the cross reference things and look things up.
Sitting on a chair he lent forward with both his elbows on the station with his hands under his chin supporting the weight of his head. His expression was blank as he sat, almost mindlessly reading the screen.
He had debated whether he should sit in his quarters to do this reading, but there were too many distractions - the same with the mess hall. So he decided Sickbay would be the best place for this.
The need to swot up wasn’t mandatory, but had really been feeling the need to. He was still green, still new to the ship and still very much keen on being the best he could be.
