Helena was absolutely not upset, far from it in fact. She supposed after this long it just felt right for him to have it, to keep it. She poured the glasses and went and sat back down. She passed him a glass and grinned. “Sleep sounds amazing. I will follow any order you want, Marceau, if I can get 6 solid hours.” She grinned and then waggled her brows in a very exaggerated and comical manner, “I know we’ve shared a tent on more than one occasion but I think I had better go to my quarters or the gossip is going to start early.”
Helena
Marceau started drinking from his glass. He grinned playfully at her statement and then yawned. “Six full hours would be good.” He looked up at her, he didn’t want her to go. “Let’s finish off the bottle first,” he said at last. “Then we can worry about the crew’s rumors.”

A cold chill sent goosebumps over her arms, making the hair stand up some. She sighed, “Should have brought my bomber jacket. It’s warm.” The room wasn’t cold though, far from it. Helena moved and stole a pillow to put behind her as she sat back against the wall. She picked up her glass and drank about half of it. “What are your plans? You’ve made captain, now what?” She rubbed the palm of her other hand along her thigh. It was a nervous gesture she’d had for as long as Marceau had known her, but was it that or was she rubbing at a sore muscle?
Helena
Marceau sat next to her with a nervous chuckle and a shrug. “I don’t know. I didn’t really think I’d make it this far. I’m not interested much in being an admiral and working on earth… So I don’t know.” He watched her rub her leg. It had been a nervous habit of hers as long as he could remember, but now that he knew about her muscular issues that was all he could think about. Was she sore? He sighed softly and stood up, pulling his medical tricorder out of a drawer. “I know doctor Grey gave you a scan but maybe I could do my own? Informally, I mean.” The informally part was obvious, looking at him as he stood facing her awaiting her answer.

Kind of like when this tradition had started, Helena was exhausted and that made her a bit…silly and more outrageous than normal. She hid a grin behind her cup. “Ohhhh....are we playing ‘doctor’ now?” She knew it would make him blush, maybe stutter a big if he was caught by surprise, but really Marceau had known her long enough that he’d expect just about anything.
Marceau blushed and looked at her. “P-playing?” Then he grinned and shook his head. “Maybe we are. As long as I get my scans.”
She set her glass down and then scooted down the bed and laid back, hands at her sides, ankles un-crossed. He’d already pulled out his medical scanner, she wasn’t getting out of it. “Of course you can. Besides even if I don’t let you, you’ll just carry that thing around constantly trying to take scans of me when I’m not looking.” It was said with a laugh and a lot of affection. Marceau was her best friend, but he had also been her doctor for a long time. If it made him feel better to run a scan over her, she wouldn’t object.
She glanced up at him, watching his face as he watched the scanner. Watching for his reaction. It didn’t help, his poker face was in full force when he was in medical mode. Marceau had never been chiseled or the most muscular guy in their group, but he had always been good looking. Apparently Marceau had been working out or something because he was trimmer and more defined. He looked good. She wondered if that was a by-product of being friends with Logan, that man was certainly built. Helena closed her eyes, nope not gonna go there. Marceau needed put on a long sleeve shirt with a high collar or something.
Helena
Marceau smiled, “I have to find out one way or another, yes?” He said, and then he began scanning her. Helena was, of course, very pretty herself, but Marceau had been a doctor the last thirteen years. He could look at someone without going there. There was, unsurprisingly, nothing on the scans. But Marceau still felt better for having run it himself. He was a well trained doctor and it helped he’d always had a good poker face. There was no inkling of his reaction on his face until he had put the scanner away. Then he smiled and lay down on the bed next to her, leaving space between them. “I am convinced. You are fine.” He said, turning his head toward her and smiling.
