Shiavik, who had finally managed to make more sense of this compacted ship, moved on about the meetings she knew needed to be completed. With a composure strong albeit cautious, she wondered of the person this captain might be. She did not, however, see too much into it, recognizing the foolishness in determining the prize before you could purchase the bait. Hands clasped behind her back, her Guard uniform replaced with the proper, and hair pulled into a neat bun, the Andorian found her way to the Captain’s office— Ready room.Silently, she rose her hand to notify the captain as to her arrival, keeping her motions brisk and almost frigid. Awaiting response, she briefly took in the passing people, considering their status and their mannerisms.
Lt. Jharaas
Incoming MACO COThe door opened and the Captain stood there with a smile on her face. “Ahhh, Lieutenant. Please come in.” She wakes back into the small room motioning the woman to follow. “I was enjoying some tea, would you like some?” She motioned to the chair in the other side of the small table just inside the room as she stepped into a small alcove and grabbed the tray with a tea pot and other items on it including cream, sugar, and a couple cups and saucers.
Greeted by a kind face of a woman so different than she had been accustomed to. Smiling? That seemed odd of someone with her obvious prestige. It was clear there were more to humans than Jharaas currently understood.. Especially if the Captain was grinning, instead of looking upon a subordinate with an authoritive grimace. She didn’t allow this to impact the obvious stiffness of her composure, finding it was simply –like that Ensign– another idiosyncracy to understand. “No, thank you, ma’am.”
She took a seat.
“I hope you settled into your room all right. Everything ok for you there?” She set the tray down and sat herself down looking up at the Andorian.
“The quarters assigned will fit what I need, yes,” It was a way of saying they were perfect. Not too small and not too large. After all, she didn’t suspect she would be finding much time there.
The CO’s uniform was neat and precise. Her brunette hair was plaited and coiled, regulation style, at the base of her neck. The blue eyes that looked at Jharaas were flecked hazel and kind. The room was similar to the woman but hinted at more. Decorations were minimal but little trinkets here and there have voice that the woman was an adventurer. There were crystalline rocks scattered here and there. The differences between them obvious enough to give one thought they were from various places. There were also a few daggers adorning the walls. If the Andorian was knowledgeable in such things, human, Klingon, Vulcan, and a couple other species were represented in the small arms collection. There was, however, no steel representing the MACO CO’s home world.
Captain Arialla Bovar
COFor a moment, she did not speak. She briefly studied the captain, noting her appearance, any particular markers that were unique to her. It was a mode of memorization to a woman she knew she would have to become accustomed to. Once certain she had a keen enough understanding, she allowed her gaze the curiously drift about the room, hopping from aspect to aspect, in bold attempt to understand her surroundings. It was an antic she didn’t realize she had, that was, the need to fully understand where she was, to be comfortable.
Jharaas felt the want to inquire to the relics, many of which she knew from simply reading of them, but never seeong one. However, she shut it down with the understanding of what this was all about.
“I am Lt. Jharaas Shiavik, Captain; recently exchanged from the Andorian Imperial Guard, beneath the command of Captain Taris Chyron.” She informed, “Reporting for duty, as needed.”

Incoming MACOAri poured her tea and leaned back slightly in her seat as she watched the woman check out the room. Many found her unique, or at least, interesting. When Jharaas gave her name, rank and previous command, Ari smiled and nodded. “I know who you are Lieutenant. And you came highly recommended. Not everyone who is wishes to serve with Starfleet gets the chance.” She didn’t say ‘honor’ because that word meant different things to different people.
Jharaas did not give much of a response, beyond the slight incline of her head. There was nothing to say to that, knowing it was simple information. However, it did slightly surprise her, hearing her lattsr words. “I see, ma’am.” She remarked, as a form of acknowledgment.
She leaned her elbows on the table, her tea cup absently pushed back and forth between her hands as she looked at the Andorian. “I admit, you are the first Andorian I have worked with up close. There were, of course, some scattered around the Academy. But none were in my classes. And I also have to admit I look forward to learning more about you and your species, if that isn’t too forward, I mean.” She felt odd asking permission to learn about someone, but not everyone took her curiosity as kindly as it was meant to be.”
Ari
CO“The mechanism of growth is understanding, Captain.” It was a way of saying she didn’t particularly mind the forwardness. In fact, she had spent majority of her life around straightforward topics. On Anodria, nothing was sugarcoated. If you were dying, you were dying; if someone betrayed you, there was nothing more to it than that. Thus, Jharaas found it was far more pleasant a thing, this bluntness, than the sugarcoated words she had found most humans to possess. “I suppose the same can be said for humans, ma’am. May that change, in the future.”
Lt. Jharaas
MACO COAri sipped her tea. “Is there anything you would like to know? We have a few MACO who will be your charges, but I admit there aren’t many. The good news it your roster will be easily maintained. I just ask you join with Engineering and work with them for the late shift partnering. I like having at least one of every department up at all times, even when in station or at cruising speed. I want eyes on the dials and lights at all times.” She wasn’t overly harsh, but the idea of something going amiss in space and her not being aware because ‘there was no one at the helm’ bothered her more than anything else.

“Understood,” The Andorian returned, I nclining her head as if giving physical acknowledgement to her request. “A few is better than none, Captain.” Jharaas remarked, adjusting her hands that had come to clasp within her lap. For a moment, she considered her question. Did she have any questions? Of course, she had deeply read into what the MACO program was, regulation, practices and whatnot. Was there anything she needed to know? “Is there anything else you require of the MACO team?” She inquired, wondering if there was anything else she might need of them.
