Looking at the master control panel nearby NE Samuel did seem correct in their assumption of this panel being a ‘master switch’ for this whole contraption of Earth and Alien technologies. We the flip of a few switches and a pull of a lever or two they could easily devise how to shut this off. But what they could also see was that a tiny indescribable fraction amount of this power was also being siphoned off to a nearby facility in the opposite direction of from where they had entered. Samual’s words were technobabble that Naomi failed to keep up with. Engineering was never her area of interest and the less she needed to know, the better in her opinion. She didn’t trust herself to keep a starship running, let alone certain house hold items. Certain parts were simple enough that she raised her eyebrow, a mixture of horror and impressed at the combination. Part of her was grateful they hadn’t brought anyone extremely into Engineering or getting them out might have been an issue.

Once the man finished, she told him to shut it off while she observed the door. Moments ticked by until the man mentioned something about power being siphoned off causing her eyes to dart to his direction. She immediately pulled away and read the report, her eyes widening in shock.

Immediately she opened the communication lines to the ship.

She hoped her senior officers didn’t ask her to be a murder. While there was no proof these were human, she wouldn’t have put it past the people here to experiment on their own kind. The very thought made her shudder.

Naomi didn’t like how long the chain of command was taking to answer. She bit her lip and debated on her options. Even if the CO ordered her to deactive the power source, she doubted she could live with that decision. Doing nothing was just making her fret all over. Finally, her anxiety forced her to make a decision on her own. She aimed to disconnect the device from the power source without affecting the cryo pods. It sounded simple, but she expected it to be far from it.

Naomi turned to NE Samuel.

“All right, here’s the plan. We’re going to figure out how to severe the connection from the power source to the device without cutting it off from the cryo pods. Then we’ll investigate the pods. If you don’t want to help, you can stay here and I’ll figure it out myself.” Naomi had already turned and started to access the computer again. She hoped to find some type of map or specs to help her locate how the power was fed into the device.

OOC: I made my choice. Couldn’t recall if she found a map or anything, so going to at least assume she hasn’t looked for it or is relocating it again.
