Galen moved to the side and rear of the bridge and proceeded to do the same with a science station, only this time sitting on the deck cross legged. Absently he pulled out a small package of peanuts from the case which he slowly chewed as he plugged in and got the next panel going on updates.

Kenny leaned back in his chair, looking out at the stars with a wistful sigh before leaning forward and moving a slide, pushing them back into warp on the same heading as before. “There we go, back into space,” he spoke.

Fleet, Help

Isaac started to cough and he start to feel itchy. He moved the chair around to look at the engineer “Excuse me how do you get those peanuts I am highly allergic to nuts” he started to feel his throat closing on him “fleet……call sickbay….” That was all he was Abel to say as he passed out.

Lt. Isaac Black (AC)

“I thought shit like peanut allergies were eliminated years ago,” Kenneth snapped, running over to a med-kit and digging around for an epinephrine injector. He brought the hypo over to Black and slammed it into his leg, hitting the button to trigger the injection of the drugs. He pulled the man off the Captain’s chair and made sure he was laying on his side. “You’re an idiot for not having that treated,” he grumbled to the unconscious man, slapping the intercom and speaking into it.

Galen looked incredulously at the scene, missing getting to the comms by moments. “How does he survive the galley in the morning with the peanut butter floating about?” He stayed away; if Black could be affected by that on the air four meters away he wasn’t going to get anywhere closer.

[O]Bridge to Sickbay, we have a medical emergency. Lt. Black is experiencing anaphylactic shock due to a reaction to peanuts. It seems like a pretty bad one, so you’d better get up here quick. I’ve administered Epinephrine, and I think we might have oxygen up here too.[O]

He turned to Galen, “Better put away that snack, crewman. And in future, don’t eat while on duty.”

Fleet, Trained in First Aid apparently

He closed the case and moved to the lift to assist medical as they came up, wiping his hands and mouth with a cloth.

OOC: A couple of good things to put in your bios now :)

Isaac opened his eyes as fresh air filled his lungs. His eyes darted around trying to remember what happened.

(during the NX time if a crewmember was allergic to certain food that food was removed from the vessel. This is why you don’t bring outside food or drink with you onto a starship)

Lt. Isaac Black (AC)

OOC: I didn’t recall that, but good to know. However, not to be pedantic, but not in your bio, not in your medical file so nobody knew .. Gene

OOC: I’d like to know where you got this info about the ‘removal’ bit James seems a bit unlikely in the time even of the Enterprise. I recall in one of the novels Chef mentioned NE so and so had an allergy and he just made sure to not use stuff around that food when ordered

GM CockRoach

Fleet found an oxygen mask - quite common on a starship bridge, where the risk of atmosphere loss was non-zero - and pushed it against the Armory Chief’s face, strapping it around his head. “Shut up and breathe the Oxygen. Don’t strain yourself, a med team is on their way.”

He stood up and looked at the bridge. It was him, Galen, and Black. And with Black indisposed, that left him on con. He didn’t like leaving the helm unattended when things could happen, so he quickly stepped over to an intercomm and paged one of the other helmsmen on standby. NE Fellows was awake. They’d soon be up here.
