As they one by one got returned to the Bonnie the Elm was in awe dropping to her knees to grasp El’s legs in a worshipful manner sobbing. “..You.....you are like them! Thank the Saviors!! You are clearly here to save us!” She declared.

El’s mind ran through several different and often conflicted thoughts, but the main one was ‘oh this is embarrassing’. There were four natives from the world here. Three were going to go to the sickbay. “Hey,” she said. “We need to get these over to the .. sickbay. And your leg might want a second look too. Can you help us and carry one of these little ones?” El wanted to distract her; while there was a part of her that kinda liked the adulation this was hardly the time for it.

The children by this point had fallen asleep from their sickness, and their injured officer was still unconscious and in dire need of medical attention very soon if he was to have any chance of survival. Thankfully a medical team for both the children and the officer were on hand with stretchers for moving them.

Rachel removed her medical scanner and followed her medics “Get the girls into radiation sickness treatment immediately, put him on the scanner bed, I’ll need to treat his injuries first” Her face set her usual absentminded behavior disappeared.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Lt. Sanks immediately headed toward his console on the bridge to download the intel he had and finish up his report.

Lt. Sanks, Linguist.

As the transporter let go of its hold on Jonathan, he had to stop himself from taking the automatic step forward, as the medical team was working on taking their guests off to sickbay. The Captain was right, they definitely were going to have a lot to catch up on.

“I see you guys had an interesting time down on the surface.”

Cmdr. McKnight - XO

Ari, standing just to the side as folks for situated, nodded as McKnight arrived. “Interesting is an apt description. I am hoping you guys weren’t down there just investigating local drink locations.” She smiled teasing know the man wouldn’t have wasted valuable time while down on the surface. “Is the rest of the team all right?” It concerned her the others weren’t back. But she knew they had jobs to do. As much as her protective instinct wanted to lay eyes on every member to be sure they were still fine, she trusted her XO to let her know if things were amiss.

“Sadly all of the locations we found had been closed down for a while, and were completely dry,” Jonathan said with a shrug. “But the team was safe when I left. We had discovered an underground bunker, and were about to go exploring when you asked me to come back up to the ship.”

As the NE medical staff carefully transported the injured alien officer away with the sleeping children the slightly older late teenage woman stood slowly in awe as the XO appeared before her eyes. “..Wonderous! You truly are from beyond the great Earth Heavens!..” She stated in awe.

Jonathan raised an eyebrow as he looked over at Ari.

Cmdr. McKnight - XO

El turned her attention back to the girl who was rather attached to her, and now focused on the Commander as he transported aboard. That was not going to bring them down to earth in her eyes anytime soon. But now the Transporter room was getting crowded and the doctor was even now moving out with the soldier. Back up on the ship everything seemed so .. ordinary though. Would it register with Elm that they were not up in the divine status? Maybe not now having witnessed the transporter. But then there was the galley food. If anything brought them back down to mortal status it would be that! “Come on, Elm. I’ll take you to sickbay and they can look at your leg better.” And check me out for anything too and if there is any radiation issues, she thought to herself.

OOC: hi Rob .. does Elm come along? Not wanting to assume a transition here with them :) .. Gene

OOC: Whoopsie! I missed this thread reply

Elm looked to El, “..You would share your.....your food?” She seemed in awe that the woman would do so. “..Not even the Great Greyhound Saviors did this!” She said falling into step with El as her stomach rumbled.

Ari shrugged at the XO almost imperceptably. “Let’s go to the officer’s mess. We’ll sort things out there. We got a bit more info, but not sure how much it will help, yet.” She watched the others file out and shook her head at the awe the little girl saw in them. “I just hope they realize, quickly, we aren’t the gods or saviors they seek. I don’t think we can live up to that, nor should we.” She laughed lightly and headed out into the hallway hoping things would get resolved soon.

El moved along with Elm, curiously noting the similarities in their names. She paced herself and visibly heard her stomach rumbling. Had it come to that that quickly that food was that scarce there? She glanced at Elm. “How are you feeling?” she asked. Sickbay would be quite active for a while. El thought they could stop by for a bite. “Here, let’s grab a bite before getting you checked out.” She steered Elm toward the lift to go up to B deck and the Galley. Mentally she computed the ‘ship’ time to figure what would be available there. She wondered what would be talked about with the Captain and the XO, but thought that any others in that meeting would include the chief engineer. Roger would likely be there; he could speak better than she could.
