El listened to the reply. “Is that the same source as the girl had talked about north of Bos’ton?” El asked, realizing that she didn’t know the girl’s name, or had forgotten it. The latter disturbed her as she had a good memory, usually.
- El, Eng“Here, wipe it with water, that should help.” He said giving her his water container and a piece of cloth he had in his bag. “Otherwise, you’re just going to keep moving it around your hand and not off of it.” He continued as he went back to working on his report on his padd.
Lt. Sanks, Linguist.El was sure that if she looked she’d find a sink in this place to wash with. Inside she felt irked as she took up the rag. he carried rags on away missions? Was he like some kind of Dr Who who had any kinds of random things in his pockets? Jelly Babies? Apple core? Wiping away the remnants on the heel of her hand she sighed. What was up, playing the ‘girl’ like this. She frowned but turned that back to a small smile as she returned the water. She replied softly to Roger. “What I don’t get is their timeline of these things. Aliens coming for repairs a week ago. Their history has a savior from space. Have you found anything to put this stuff together?”
Ari nodded, despite McKnight not being able to see her. [O]Let’s get at least you back. Anyone else needing a break can come as well. We should probably consider a rotation or pulling back once we’ve got something. I don’t want everyone spending the night down here. We don’t have the food or water or shelter for it. And I don’t want anyone caught unawares. We have enough to worry about without rescues being a part of it. See you on the ship. Remind the others to leave comms open. [O]
She was glad they had a clue. She wasn’t sure they did, yet. Hopefully the folks they took to the ship would assist them. Now… how to take them there without telling them they were going to a space ship. Sure, they were a society capable of space flight and warp. But was that where they were at this moment? And with their history being so inundated with ships and space travel, would this strengthen or weaken their belief and pride in what their past held?
Either way, she couldn’t, in good conscious, let the man remain here and die. She took a deep breath and tapped her comm letting transport know how many were coming and to have medical standing by. Once the acknowledgment came, she turned to the others. “I want one of you paired with a guest at all times. And let’s go straight from the landing point to medical. Shall we?” She didn’t say transporter room on purpose. And she hoped the others caught what she had done.

COEl looked puzzled, but did catch the reference from the Captain. Evidently the doctor would be with the injured soldier. But that only left the girl. Roger was the linguist. He would be the obvious one to communicate with her. “Are the rest of us going to Captain?” Granted that would only leave a couple of them if so. What was the other group doing? How ‘could’ they reverse this condition in space that was holding them trapped here? Could it be as easy as a on and off switch? But why did they turn it on? Did they know this would happen?
- El, EngThe young woman from before who they still had not asked for a name from, looked up finally listening a bit. “..You....you have a spaceship? Just like the others! Are you here to put a stop to this terrible war? Just like the Greyhound saviors..” She asked hopefully.
GM CockRoach
El was unsure how to answer that question, and, truth to tell, did anyone have an answer to that? When El looked at her face she saw more than just a glimmer of hope there, and they had the power to quench it or sustain it. A part of El’s mind wanted to say that they - this girls’ people - got themselves into this mess and that that couldn’t keep relying on ‘others’ to pull their butts out of the fire. Still another part figured that they were in this together and that one solution may fix the other. She answered, avoiding the ‘space ship’ question directly. “Whatever happened here trapped us. Maybe by fixing that you too will be helped.” That was a bit of a loaded statement but if she was going to be beamed up too then, well, she would be expecting all the more from them. El worked her memory but could not remember her name. “I’m Elemirre,” she said to the girl. “But just call me El. What’s yours?”
- El, Eng”..My name is Elm Strea.” She said. She seemed to remain hopeful like earlier. Falling quiet again soon after her reply waiting for someone to decide on what to do next. The twins meanwhile with the armory chief were equally quiet, though that was more to do with their radiation sickness then anything else currently.

“Elm. Nice,” El said, thinking that the word association of ‘elm tree’ would fit there well. “Tell me about your home,” she asked. “How did you come to be here, as a people I mean? I’m from Earth. I grew up on an island there. Warm. Lots of trees and plants.”
- El, EngRachel stopped her humming and started fidgeting impatiently with her bag “I think introductions can wait until these girls and the lad have had some medical attention” Her head was cocked to the side, added to her crooked Chesire smile made her look more like a curiously amused cat than anything else.
Dr. Grey - CMO
Isaac was not sure why the little girls took a liking to him they both were sleeping peacefully one on his arm and the other on his lap but he didn’t mind then he look over to the doctor “hey doc do you have any Diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) in your bag. It can help with most types of radiation sickness and it will help the girls to feel alittle better” he asked.
Lt. Isaac Black (AC)
OOC: Ok first how would Isaac know exactly what to use he’s not a medical professional? Second I mentioned they needed to be treated aboard the ship previously, thirdly I just mentioned they were awake listening to the conversations going on.
GM CockRoach
“I agree with the Doc. And other questions can be answered later,” she frowned slightly at El. She had hoped this line of questions wouldn’t come up. “Let’s go.” She got everyone gathered up and once they were ready, started having the Bonnie beam them up a couple at a time. The Doc and most injured going first. She would be in the last group. If the transporters failed, she wasn’t going to be the one choosing who got left behind. As CO, she knew she shouldn’t, but for some reason, this time she couldn’t bring herself not to do it.
Ari
COOOC: Isaac has spent some time in the military his family is military base. And he seen the effects of radiation poisoning. And he knows of a basic medication that is mainly used for radiation poisoning. He is just not a jar head
Lt. Isaac Black (AC)
El was just not sure what she said but she seemed to have had a certain amount of displeasure from the captain. Maybe she wasn’t cut out for these missions and should just be working her machine shop on the Bonnie. She quieted down and took her place in the beam up queue, her mind back at the ‘ship’ problem of getting around the spatial distortions to let them get out of there. Otherwise they’d be colonizing this wreck of a world .. somewhere. She had best leave the diplomatic chatter with Elm to Roger. He’d be better at grasping the nuances of their language which was close but not quite.
When they beamed up, El took advantage of the away team fleet breaking up to go to a console to check on ship status while awaiting any other orders. If none came she would head to engineering after a brief stop at her quarters to do a quick wash up. If the other team was coming up the chief would be part of any debrief, and she didn’t do anything that others weren’t present for and could speak better into so would be better suited to just get to engineering.
- El, Eng
OCC: we should really go to Decon first. We’re not sure what we were exposed to down there
