[snip]“The computer had some useful information about the advances of how this war has gone. But, it also seems to me that it’s biased based on what side of the war the writers are on.” Lt. Sanks responded to the captain.
Lt. Sanks, Linguist
Isaac looked at the captain “sir if we’re going to save the egg head we need to move now I saw some buildings close by that I can use as a perch spot and provide sniper support” he said as he pulled a MaCo scope to his rifle
Lt. Isaac Black (AC)
Cmdr. McKnight - XO (Crosspost)
Rachel nodded at the Armory Chief’s word, having overwatch support would be extremely useful in an urban setting, or a partially urban setting.
Dr. Grey - CMO
Time continued to tick away, no doubt while they chatted and planned the captured ESD officer was being beaten and interrogated. If they were going to move they should move now and hastily at that.

Ari nodded. “Ok, Black, get on that roof and cover us. Doc, we’re gonna have another victim in a moment. We are going to rescue one of the underdogs in this conflict. Hopefully he knows more of what happened that caused this.” She glanced the stranger and nodded. “I’m guessing the light in the sky was the shifting.” She didn’t want to say the planet had jumped locations. She hoped the shifting comment would be enough. “I’m betting something big shifted, somewhere, and caused the sky to light up.” There were enough ways to explain atmospheric anomalies in a way that wouldn’t give away just how much they knew.
“Adams, you’re with me. El, you were a pretty good shot. You can help cover our backsides and help. Come on. You can work more on that later. Sanks, I want all the files downloaded. We will be going back shortly and I want info to compare with the others.” She still hadn’t sussed out what to do with the woman, and soon the soldier. Perhaps they could leave them some basic rations and either send them on their way or let them stay here where it was relatively safe.
Shaking her head, she’d figure something out later. “All right, let’s make this quick. I want to be back here with no trace of us before they know what hit them.” She turned to head out the door and towards the direction of the rescue.

El thought that a bit more work on the mythos of this world would be in order such as this Great Greyhound thing and who they battled. “We may want to redirect sensors onto the area around this Bos’ton to see what may have happened there and if there is a trace of another ship,” El suggested as she synched her device to the helmet so that she could get transmissions from it to her device rather than having to lug the thing around. It didn’t take more than a minute to get herself ready, device in one hand and her pistol close by in the other. True she also had one of the enemies rifles over her shoulder but she trusted in her own. It was closer to what she was used to growing up. While she had some weapons training in the military academy in the UK it was her playing ‘Western quick draw’ with her father that gave her more skill. That and her reflexes were, in her opinion, pretty darn good.
With her hood up she trotted behind the Captain, light footed and not too noticeable with her dark trench coat in the growing darkness, senses tuned to the area that had quickly turned into a war zone - at least for them. ‘We’re not in Kansas anymore Toto’ she thought to herself as she smelled the familiar but not familiar air around her.
- El, EngIsaac was across the street and going through the building quickly he cleared a couple floors and found a good perch area. He pulled his Com and said “ I am in position level 6 center window I can get them if they take cover” he said into the com making sure the frequency was secured.
Lt. Isaac Black (AC)
Rachel nodded “Do ye want me tah stay here and wait or join the assault?” She asked, her face more focused and lucid than normal, combat situations usually brought her out of her apparent loopy haze.
Dr. Grey - CMO
As the team took up their positions down the street or on the roof down the way on another apartment building, they could see the MacArm soliders were really loosing patience with the ESD officer. They had really given the poor man a beating in the time the team had debated on what to do. A large broken left arm bone protruded from the socket by the shoulder blade, broken fingers on both hands were bent back badly and broken. Bruises across the poor man’s face and body were evident. Blood and spit some the officer’s own others from the MacArm interrogator’s were also evident. They all had clear lines of sight to take the MacArm soldiers by surprise, three shots from each person would bring the grisly scene to an end quickly and mostly quietly.

Isaac had a few Stun grenades he can drop to throw them off but that action could make his position known so he held back =^= Lt. Black to team we need to move fast the man will not be Abel to hold out much longer =^=
Lt. Isaac Black ( AC)
El felt a mix of emotions as she found her place. She was able to move quietly and her dark clothing choice helped her to be far less obvious than should she have been even, say, in uniform. Settling in an alley space between two buildings and behind a small dumpster she assessed her targets. Her nose wrinkled up at the smell of the garbage, but her teeth were bared in a look of disgust at what they were doing to the man. On the other hand she showed much admiration for the man for his standing up to the abuse. [o] I have my shots [c] El said quietly into her comms, though even if the order didn’t come she was going to fire before the man was killed outright. She only hoped the Captain had taken her position as well and would give the order soon.
- El, EngOOC: Dealing with car troubles please bare with me a day or so!
GM CockRoach
Rachel followed the group staying the correct distance behind the main combat officers she knew where her place in a firefight was and it wasn’t standing on point but somewhere she could reach everyone as fast as, what was in her case, humanly possible.
Dr. Grey - CMO
El glanced back and saw Dr Grey. She moved like a soldier, though El herself certainly wasn’t one. She had, however, seen many in action - albeit training action. This was her first ‘encounter’ with these experiences and, while it was something utterly new, stressful and nerve wracking another part of her reveled in this adrenal rush and real danger. It was the hurry up and wait portions that bothered her when she wanted to just act. And what was it with their folklore and the aliens who had been there just days earlier to their North? What did they represent in this mystery? El certainly did not want to be stuck here in this planet and space so she hoped that somewhere in this mess that there was an answer to clearing that spatial interference to allow them to go to warp and leave. She had no idea how they could possibly help these people here beyond just a few. It seemed so small a thing compared to a world that was in disarray. She frowned, her wrist braced on the dumpster with her targets in view waiting for the order to fire.
- El, EngIsaac had already fixed his scope up for distance, wind and bullet drop his scope was zeroed in and he had a good shot lined up. He was Abel to find the head officer of the group and will take out any one in rank.
=^= is everyone in position I am about to make my first shot the egg head will not last any more =^= Isaac had his finger to the side of the trigger and undid the safety.
Lt. Isaac Black (AC)
Ari had agreed that the Doc with them was a good idea. The woman had been asked to stay behind with the linguist. Her own people she trusted in the coming situation, the civilian from the planet was a wild card she didn’t have time to suss out. Once everyone claimed their readiness, she shook her head. [O]Everyone ready, I hate to, but let’s take those guards out. That man is our information link,[O] I hope she muttered under her breath, [O]Let’s get him out of there. On my mark…[O] She paused a moment to take aim as well. [O]NOW![O]
She watched, as her own shots were fired at the middle soldier, and the other soldiers were also attacked.
