Then she blinked again as if clearing her head, “..You are like the others! But yet not like the others, your dress is different, but the others they who came seeking parts and supplies for their own broken ship from the stars and heavens. Yous dress and accents are more like what history said of the Great Greyhound Saviors. The others more recent fought on a bridge near Bos’ton rescuing my mother and I from slaver bandits..” She said stunned.

El was quick but this was a puzzle that kept adding layers to it. El had understood from the girl that this ‘Great Greyhound’ was a past event. Now she was saying that others were there and very recently at that. They hadn’t detected anything when they arrived. But then they had rather been jolted out of warp and into this space. Could they have done that, these other visitors who needed a garage? They evidently didn’t have issue with just knocking on the door and asking for a cup of sugar per se. Slaver bandits? Where were ‘they’ from? They helped the woman and others? As she was processing, Isaac spoke up.

Isaac was listening to them talk “what do you mean have you seen others like us before” he asked the woman.

The woman paused considering how to answer Black....

Rachel pursed her lips, a bridge near what sounded like Boston and Greyhound saviors, east coast North American words. Whatever was going on it was a true oddity.

”..Not quite like you but from …” She pointed to the sky. “..From up there, they arrived a few days ago, they needed help fixing their ship like the Greyhound Saviors did years ago, they went to the outskirts of Bos’ton and left us here three days ago. I don’t know where they are now only that a day ago there was a flash of light to the north of Bos’ton and then the sky changed..” She tried to explain.

Flash of light. Sky changed. Did ‘they’ cause this issue? Did someone here? There was a battle with the early Greyhound Saviors. Was this another resurgence of this old conflict? “What of these others that the Greyhound fought? Are they back? Who are these ‘slaver bandits’? Are they from the enemy or somewhere else?” She added. “We just came into the middle of this and are trying to understand what is going on just like you are. I think we got caught up in this … flash.”

”..So you are like they were, and like the Great Greyhound Saviors. Lost from the void seeking help.” She seemed to muse.

Ari came down a few moments later with Adams and Black. “We are going to see if we can grasp the soldier a few blocks away being interrogated. Doc, I need you to stay here without friend,” she gave the woman a smile she hoped would be interpreted as genuine. “Did you guys get anything from the computer?” She glanced towards others still near the terminal.

El spun around at the Captain’s arrival. “The conflict between nations has been going on for years principally over resources and has recently flared up into a military conflict.” That was pretty well the beginning and the end of that. “But Captain, they have lore of another ship that came with people like us, called the Great Greyhound who fought others in space and sacrificed themselves for the people here. What is more, another ship came only a few days back seeking repairs and landed at a city to the North called Bos’ton.” She gestured to the girl. “She and her mother were rescued by them in a battle on a bridge, saving them from slavers. It was from that direction that something happened and the sky turned color.”

Rachel turned to the Captain arriving and cocked her head curiously then nodded, preparing to depart at her word.

Dr. Grey - CMO

“The computer had some useful information about the advances of how this war has gone. But, it also seems to me that it’s biased based on what side of the war the writers are on.” Lt. Sanks responded to the captain.

Isaac looked at the captain “sir if we’re going to save the egg head we need to move now I saw some buildings close by that I can use as a perch spot and provide sniper support” he said as he pulled a MaCo scope to his rifle

Rachel nodded at the Armory Chief’s word, having overwatch support would be extremely useful in an urban setting, or a partially urban setting.

Time continued to tick away, no doubt while they chatted and planned the captured ESD officer was being beaten and interrogated. If they were going to move they should move now and hastily at that.

Ari nodded. “Ok, Black, get on that roof and cover us. Doc, we’re gonna have another victim in a moment. We are going to rescue one of the underdogs in this conflict. Hopefully he knows more of what happened that caused this.” She glanced the stranger and nodded. “I’m guessing the light in the sky was the shifting.” She didn’t want to say the planet had jumped locations. She hoped the shifting comment would be enough. “I’m betting something big shifted, somewhere, and caused the sky to light up.” There were enough ways to explain atmospheric anomalies in a way that wouldn’t give away just how much they knew.

“Adams, you’re with me. El, you were a pretty good shot. You can help cover our backsides and help. Come on. You can work more on that later. I want all the files downloaded. We will be going back shortly and I want info to compare with the others.” She still hadn’t sussed out what to do with the woman, and soon the soldier. Perhaps they could leave them some basic rations and either send them on their way or let them stay here where it was relatively safe.

Shaking her head, she’d figure something out later. “All right, let’s make this quick. I want to be back here with no trace of us before they know what hit them.” She turned to head out the door and towards the direction of the rescue.
