With the MACO’s running off to search the compound, he looked over at the Vulcan who had just rejoined the party. “Rescue party came for their injured pilot, but Baumann got separated from the group. Naomi,” he said turning towards her. “Call the ship, see if I they can located Baumann’s life sign. I hate to admit defeat, but I don’t think we have the time to do this ourselves.”

Ari’s voice came over the comms just then, a soft whisper though fighting could be heard in background like it was a bit of ways off from her local. [O] Was going to call for regroup at the ship, but we may have a lead. Any luck there? [O]

Ari CO

[O] We made contact with a downed fighter pilot, and were starting to explore the base when we had some party crashers. A rescue team came for their downed pilot, and we had to bug out. I had sent Nissek to scan the perimeter, and I’m waiting to hear if she found anything as she just made it back to the team. [O]

Cmdr. McKnight - XO

As the XO and CO talked, Naomi leaned against a tree. Her eyes turned to Nissek then gestured for the Vulcan to adjust her hood. During the jog, it appeared to have slid and threatened to reveal her ears. The science officer had a feeling anyone who wasn’t human would not like to be discovered on this war-torn planet. Who knew what those without a clear head might do to those they considered ‘aliens’. She shuddered as the thought faded into the back of her mind.

Ken watched and listened as everything went down. He crept to the edge of their group, peering back towards the base and watching to see what was happening.

As he waited for the Captain to reply, Jonathan gestured towards Nissek. “What did you find?”

A beep and chirp on their comm units came in from the Bonaventure.....

Holding up his hand to stall Nissek, Jonathan flipped his comm unit over to the Bonnie’s channel. Hopefully the Captain would be able to wait, or maybe she was relaying her message through the ship.

“Oh, now. What bloody now?” Naomi muttered underneath her breath, the woman’s attention turned to the XO.

Nothing could hopefully get worse as she tried to her anxiety in check and silence her racing mind.

A moment later, Ari replied to McKnight. [O]See what info you can give. We are about to see if we can get some local info as well.[O] There was the sound of a smile in her voice. [O] Check back in in an hour. We will coordinate a ship return then to see what we’ve all come up with. Captain out [O]
