El wasn’t precisely the be all and end all of weapons knowledge. She glanced about. “There are five of them down,” she said, indicating the five of the team that shot the women. “These three are probably okay. We got them before they blew off their ammo. Not sure on the others there.” That being said, she looked at the rifle and tried to note the similarities between that and what they used on Earth, checking the magazine and looking for a spare, of that and the hand gun. She was relieved that their ‘barrier’ had been solid. Many military weapons would have done through something like that if a similar make was done on Earth. “Best be quick. These guys are only stunned,” she said. She’d leave it to the MACO’s to deal with what they wanted to do with these soldiers.

Standing a few feet away Rende saw Lt Black and En Elemirre going through pockets. She approached, all the while watching the area surrounding them for any subtle or obvious indications that they were no longer alone. “Excuse me Lt. if you are looking for a weapon,” she unshoulder her pack and set it down. “You’ll find some non energy weapons in there. Take your pick.” While she was down here she answered directly to Lt Black as the chief armory officer. “Orders, Sir?”

Isaac found a good weapon and looked at his small team “did any one see team leader before the firing started. We don’t know who is down and who is still alive” he pulled his scanner out and keyed in the star fleet coms and sent a single the beep will be low enough to not give away hiding space but loud enough for who is holding the communicator can hear it.

Rende waited for them to finish searching them, and then she reached into her bag for several sets of cuffs. It wasn’t her decision to decide what to do with them but secure them until the Captain made a decision. She loved these new cuffs. Magnetically connected and encrypted so that they couldn’t be hacked into releasing. She could disconnect the pair to allow them ease of movement and lock them up tight if they made a wrong move. She attached a set to each pair of hands, locking them behind their back, unless they were wounded, and then she had their hands in front. Then she attached a set at their ankles. Just because hands were cuffed didn’t mean they couldn’t try and make a run for it. Rende then finished searching them, for weapons, ammo, and most importantly comms or tracking devices.

OOC:Fixing split and responding

The weapon Isaac had looked like and old Cold War style Russian assault rifle. He looked it over and popped the mag out “good were using .223 this will be good” he said as he mad a Quick sling for his rifle. “Ok weapons 101 have you done basic weapon training” he asked El

“If you find any communication devices, I would like to see them, they may help us figure out the alien language a little better. and El, you can help me figure out how they work.” Lt. Sanks asked as he continued to work on the library for the captain.

Leaving the MACO’s to what they do best, El slung the rifle over her shoulder. It must have looked a bit comical on her smaller frame but she bore it easily enough. She hadn’t seen anything obvious on the one she was searching, but she knew one had a comms unit as they heard him call on it. “This one over here has one,” she said to Roger. Moving over towards the duo she did a search on his person. Military radios were never small and never hidden. It was like they needed to be seen and manipulated, at least on Earth. El hoped this was similar and not a small comms unit, easily dropped and crushed.

Interestingly the hand unit she found was integrated into the helmet. This alone wouldnt be odd but what was odd was the design setup was almost an exact match for what the MACOs used in combat situations! Something was seriously strange going on here.

El had, in her limited venue with the British military college where she did her education and training, an even more limited training with the troops. It was mostly a ‘showing everyone what everyone else did to have an appreciation of their skills’. She didn’t mind the MACO like training but her calling was engineering and that week was to her a bit of a speedbump to get her closer to her engines. But one thing it did do was allow her to be familiar with what others did and what they used. And the comms equipment was something she was more familiar with - that was as close to engineering as she got, shy of building a bridge and engineering a shelter. What she picked up was, at first, not odd at all. Comms that she was familiar with. Then she realized she was on an alien world.

“Isaac, Rende,” she said, calling them over. “If this had a Earth sticker on it I’d say it was one of ours.” She tossed the helmet to the first of them who came close. Her mind ran amok. They’d never been here. This was not a world they had on their charts. In fact it just appeared. It was split between two races - human and something else. It didn’t look like Earth, but it seemed to be very close. She was itching to take one apart and see what it looked like under the hood. Where had the humans come from? How long had they been here? “What’s going on here?” she mused to herself. The woman won’t be good for answering anything in her condition, not that El would want to prod her to. And likely they’d only get lies from the soldiers who think they were from the ‘North’.

Did everyone have a comms unit in their helmet? It was one thing to see the packaging and note that it looked the same. But what was underneath for the components? She looked at another helmet to see ..

Rende walked over sweeping the surrounding area visually and keeping an ear out for anything out of the ordinary. She caught the helmet and looked at it. Rende had seen almost the exact same configuration on Earth centuries before. She couldn’t say that though. She placed a hand over what should be the microphone. “I’d have to agree. It’s very close to what we still use in the MACOs. Helps keep our hands free and communicate at the same time. Usually voice activated by default. Might be best if we turn it off, or I can slip it on and see what I can find out.”
