El took a breath and tried to remember the tone of the female leader as she worked to open the comms channel briefly but keeping up some of the interference. Matching her tone as she could to hide any of her own ‘alien accent’ she said =^= APC-32J this is squad leader. Comms were bumped in pursuit of looters. Two looters neutralized. Continuing patrol =^= While she might get in trouble with the Captain for that El would rather face that prospect than an APC while they were dealing with two seriously injured women. She glanced to the Captain then gritted her teeth at the situation and callousness of the soldiers. That being said, she wasn’t particularly a saint in the way she was thinking now. Closing her part of the channel she said to Isaac, “How was that?” He would know better the ‘military speak’.

Ari watched as her second shot took down one of the two that popped up. “Hold your fire!” She hollered to the rest and waited a moment for silence to settle. Smiling addy El, she nodded quickly, “Good job.”

El gave a quick nod back to the Captain before she disappeared around the ruined vehicle. El remained where she was. It wouldn’t be good to miss any more transmissions from the APC and bring the military vehicle down on them. Pressing her back against the cool metal she focused on the scanner. The others were moving now; the doctor, Elizabeth. El was not very good with first aid but could manage if needed but right now this EM warfare was in her swim lane.

Standing up, tentatively, she surveyed the five unconscious bodies and watched to be sure they hadn’t miscounted, or miscalculated. She scurried down the center between their cover and the other side where the soldiers had been hiding. Cautiously she looked around the corner to see if anyone still remained.

Ari CO

No other dangers remained present.

As soon as Rachel got the hold fire order she looked across the field. After two seconds she ran in a crouch over to the injured women lying next to the Chief Scientist having replaced her phase pistol with a medical scanner. She dropped to her knee next to them and gave them a quick scan and visual assesment.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Soon as the CO broke cover, Elizabeth had been quick on her heels. There was no way she was going to let the CO be alone that far from the other pistols and, should anything happen, be in the line of fire, either.

She crouched just behind the CO and set her hand on the woman’s shoulder to let her know she was there. Half holding her breath, she waited to be sure, like Ari, that nothing more was hidden behind the rubble.

Seeing no one behind the other cover, Ari stood up and waved to the others. “All clear. Well, guess we aren’t going for the stroll we thought.” Flipping open her communicator, she hailed the ship. [O]Transporter Room, send down the standby Marine. Looks like we’ll have need after all.[O]

[O]Copy, Captain,[O] came the reply from NE Lane on the other end.

She knew it wouldn’t be long but she didn’t want to necessarily wait out in the open, either. Walking over to the wounded, she crouched down beside the Doc. “Will they be all right? Perhaps we can learn something more from them and save ourselves a bit of hassle. Either way, can’t just let them bleed out on the street.” She didn’t like the idea that they were partly to blame for the ladies being shot. If they had kept running past them, or even taken cover, perhaps things would have gone differently.

Ari CO

Rende had already been on stand by and waiting. She was already geared up and ready to go. She nodded to NE Lane and stepped onto the transporter pad. These things, well this less advanced version, made her cautious, but she nodded to Lane and disappeared. These older versions took so long to work, but after several long seconds she appeared. She walked over to Ari taking in the scene. Indeed they could have used her much sooner. “Captain.”

2nd Lt Asam, Marine

Lt. Sanks didn’t really notice the person beam down, as he was still working, but felt like he was almost done with the language and communication of the alien translation compared to the broken English.

Lt. Sanks, Linguist

Sanks did indeed have a good starting point for the UT to do its job on the alien language, written language was further along than spoken but it was a good start.

As for the two women the older one had bled out and since died, but the younger one was still barely holding to life as she got treated. “..It hurts it hurts!” She gurgled in pain.

Rachel got to work quickly treating the injury, replacing the cloth with fresh bandages from her bag. She theorized that the older woman must have been shot in the femoral artery due to her bleeding out so quickly. She grabbed a laser scalpel and started working on stopping the bleeding.
