30 minutes later the warm ups were finally done and the New recruits we’re almost dead the security staff were still on there feet but they were groaning with pain. “Ok every one grab a weapon and do some target drills” he said with a smile One of the new retreats finally fell over “ hey recruit when you’re down there do 25 push-ups”

Melissa liked Isaac’s tactics. She nodded to her men “You heard the Lieutenant. Get moving.” She said as she watched the recruit lying on the floor and then looked at Isaac “What are they teaching them in basic training?” She asked “That warm up is just a warmup it shouldn’t put you out.....” She said somewhat lightheartedly.

MACO

Isaac went to the floor with the recruit “come on now we can do them together” as he started to do the push ups the security staff were going over safety tips for the recruits and checking every weapon before they were handed out. Isaac just got done with the recruit and helped him to his feet. The man was having a hard time breathing. He showed the man a way to help breathing by putting his hand behind his head “this will help you use the diaphragm correctly while breathing” he said “get some water and meet me at the table” he acted as a big brother and an officer.

At the end of the day all of the security staff had passed with all weapons and only 2 of the recruits failed. They clam the Star fleet weapons were too Bulky. Isaac looked at the two “this is down right embarrassing. My staff are Star fleet and they were Abel to use the maco weapons very well but. You both failed....... I am going to let your CO talk to you”

Melissa looked at the two recruits “My office 10 minutes. You both have some things to work out…one of them being talking back to a senior officer.” She said and looked at Isaac and shook her head “I’d like you there as well.” She said and looked at the rest of the MACOs “You all know my expectations are that you know your weapons and Star Fleet weapons like the back of your hand. Each and every one of you will be doing drills with both sets of weapons. No exceptions. Dismissed.”

OOC: I apologize for falling off the face of the earth. I think I’m back now.

Isaac looked at his staff “you all are doing it too” he said to his officers

Melissa looked as her men started putting weapons away silently, they all knew that if she caught them muttering that the consequences would be worse than they already were. She looked at Isaac “Join me in my office.” She said as she headed out of the training area and headed to her office.

Isaac followed her to her office “ why do I feel like I am back in school” he said entering her office. He looked around the office it was a good size.

Melissa laughed “Because to our young recruits this is the principal’s office and if you are called here, you have royally screwed up.” She said as she opened the door to the office and ushered Isaac in “Water, coffee, tea, bourbon?” She asked as she moved over to the table behind the desk and poured herself a glass of water. She avoided the alcohol for more than one reason.

“So what was your impression of weapons training?” She asked as she sat down behind her desk “I think my three need to work with you on the Star Fleet weapons for a few weeks. Do you have any that you feel need to work with us more?” She asked.

MCO

“I do try to keep my team on par with the maco teams. But I will take a water” he said as he took a set “ but there is a few of my team who barley passed the training today I will work with them a bit more but the two who failed it all were bad with both maco and Star fleet gear if you don’t mind me asking how did they pass boot” he said when looking at her

Melissa handed Isaac a glass of water “I have been asking myself that since they came aboard.” She said “I have read their jackets looking for a reason that they are not doing well here and I’m baffled. They received stellar marks while in Boot Camp on earth but once they were assigned ship side, they lost their minds…” She said thoughtfully and handed over the two jackets that they were talking about. “Take a look and see if you see anything out of line.” She said “I’ll be pulling them in in a few minutes and get them straightened out, otherwise, I will send them back to San Francisco on the next shuttle.” It was clear that Melissa did not tolerate low performance.

Isaac looked at her “ Well they do seem a bit young to me I can do some checking to see if they are the right age” he said as he pulled a pad and sent a message to a buddy of his The reply will take a few weeks.

Melissa nodded “It wouldn’t be the first time that someone tried to get in by lying about their age.” She said as she sat on the edge of her desk and pulled her hair back into a pony tail. She looked at Isaac for a moment “After this, let’s get dinner in the mess hall.” She suggested, not really sure where that suggestion came from, but it seemed perfectly normal to her.
