Scans on the medication showed it was doing its job.....but slowly. It wasn’t that the medication was wrong or that the nuclear fallout radiation was special in anyway it just took time for these things to happen. It wasn’t like the hypos medicine worked in a few seconds after all! That was just crazy magical futuristic thinking right?

Rachel looked at the scan data and nodded with approval “It’ll take a moment for the medication to take effect, I don’t want to add any pain relief until then. Until then” She took a step to the side and grabbed something metallic “Here are some buckets for ye to heave in” She said giving each of her patients a sick-bucket.

Eventually the medicine did its job and the two NEs were mostly ready to get back on their feet without problems. Thankfully neither had heaved up in the buckets.

Rachel gave the pair one final examination before deciding “Alright, you two can get back on yer feet when you feel ready, don’t go back to the laundry room until the Bridge or Engineering gives the all-clear and make sure to keep a communicator on you at all times in case you get any symptoms. Let me know if there are any developments and I’ll call you back for a secondary checkup”

Both NE’s eventually got back to their feet. “..Thanks Doc, we’ll make sure you’re uniform is pressed extra well once things settle back down..” The one said as they left.

Rachel called a little at their comment “Aye, ye better” She called after the pair, her crooked grin revealing itself. Another happy customer she thought to herself as she returned her Sickbay to tip-top shape, sanitizing the beds as was her custom after a patient.
