Lt. Black set up a few hollow projectors in the gym he had a table with the Star fleet phase pistol the the rifle and the maco phase pistol and rifle he had loaded the weapons with holographic rounds for weapon qualifications for the crew. He then walked over to the wall And press the com =^= Lt. Black to Maco CO can you meet me in the gym =^= he release the button and wait for an answer.

Melissa was already on her way to the gym and just as he closed the comm link she walked into the gym “Lt.” She said as she entered. She was dressed in her duty uniform and was carrying a new phase rifle that they had gotten from their supply fulfillment. She tossed it to Black “Newest rifle from the MACO’s.” She said “It’s a bit lighter, but just as strong.” She added “So, how do we want to do this?” She asked wanting to get his input before she gave her own suggestions. She knew how the MACO trainings went and she was also a member of Star Fleet, that was not known to many people except for the Captain and MACO command.

MACO

Black was getting a feel for the new phase rifle “ oh I am loving this Beauty do you mind if I can get one for myself” he said before handing it back to Melissa “I think Basic holographic training some hand combat we can start with the MaCo and security teams then senior staff. I will like all crew to be clear on all weapons” he said he unzipped his jumpsuit and tied the arms around his waist. He then started to load the holographic rounds into the phase rifles and phase pistol.

Melissa nodded “That sounds like a plan.” She said “How much hand to hand training have your officers had?” She asked “I drill mine at least twice a week.” She said “But our jobs are slightly different from your.” She added “I also have a bunch of green recruits, fresh out of bootcamp, so this should be fun.” Melissa added “I have to ask Lieutenant, how do your security officers feel about having MACOs on the ship? I know of other ships, where there is a great deal of contention between the two. I don’t want that here.” She said.

MACO

Isaac thought about the questions at first “If we are lucky we get a hand to hand combat training twice a month I like to do it more but Starfleet wants us to use phase pistol and to answer your second question is they all are fine with it most of them understand that ship security can’t do everything but we still have afew tricks up our sleeve” he said with Satisfying smile as he slapped the holographic charge into the phase rifle.

Melissa smiled “Well that’s good to hear.” She said as she picked up her own weapon. “I think we should start out fairly easy and move up.” She said as she started the program with the floating ball “Oh by the way, this one fires back.” She said “When you miss, it has the opportunity to fire back at you. It stings but no damage is done.” She said as she took aim and hit the ball with each shot.

MACO

Isaac watch her run a drill “ I have noticed that most MACO Lean into there rifle as the fire. It slows down your time to Acquire a new target. You don’t have to Lean into your rifle there is no kick to it”
He said as he got his rifle ready.

IC: Melissa nodded “I try not to, however there are days that i do.” She said and stepped back so that he could start his round with the floating ball. “Don’t tense up your trigger finger” she pointed out helpfully “Fluid motions, especially with these new rifles, you tense up, it’s going to throw your shot wide”

MCO

Isaac took a rifle and took up A stance and watched the ball take off. He took aim and fired two shots at the ball his aim was almost to the low 90% his score at the end was 45 out of 50 targets hit. “Now that was fun” he said with a joke

Melissa laughed “I told you not to tense up. These rifles have a lower kickback threshhold. So that you don’t have to brace yourself as much.” She said “R & D outdid themselves with this model.” Melissa said as she began her turn “How do you want to set this up with our teams?” She asked “It’s going to be interesting to see some of the newer recruits and star fleet officers using new weapons.”

Isaac smiled “how about a weapons boot MACO Style” he said Yes he did the old gundam style Dance. He Laughed at himself he wasn’t really sure if she knows what the joke was.

Melissa smiled at Isaac “That sounds good.” She said “We’ll go first and then let them start.” She said “I’m curious about my new recruits, they are a bit green still and this is their first assignment outside of boot camp.”

MACO

Isaac looked at her “how about my security team can take your recruits on to security rounds to get them familiar with the ship”

Melissa nodded “I think that would be a good idea. Many of them won’t know where to find much of anything at this point. One of the things I’ve been planning is to get them on rounds, but I would like us to work together.” She said “I’d like for us to do patrols together as well.” She said “Learn how each other works so that we can compliment the needs of the ship. I know that the MACOs are the fighting types but we can help with ship’s security as well.” She said

MACO

Isaac enjoyed being around her he too came from a military family but due to an accident he was unable to join the MACO. He was the first in his family to join Star Fleet. He looked at her and said “So you enjoy spending this much time with me with out asking me out” he joked out loud.

Melissa chuckled “I’m a bit old fashioned when it comes to that. But… let’s have dinner. Tomorrow. Mess hall. say 1800 hours.” She said as the recruits and security officers started wandering in for the training session.

MACO

“It’s a date then” he said giving her a wink. He then turned to the New recruits and his security staff “ hello to all the new faces here to day let’s warm up with some motivators” his security staff groaned at the sound of that exercise. “ because we have some new people here today will only do 10 of them” he got everyone in to the Reading position “Anderson front and center I want you to show the new recruits how to do this exercise”
