“I am going to say we are going to leave the Blackhole its part of the spacial ecosystem I assume its been well charted and not a general threat to shipping?” she asked for clarification “If its proving to be a bigger threat than we think then we will deal with it after we help the Anne” she said “Helm once the Flying angel is clear go to maximum warp get us to the SS Anne”

Tyrran strode to the port auxiliary console and configured it to monitor the Angel’s preparations.

“This is the bridge, Angel. Your flight plan is logged and you are cleared for straight-out departure. Hold standard profile to the outer marker.” He watched the small craft depart. “The Angel is away, sir,” he advised the Captain. He remained at the console to monitor the Angel’s progress.

“The gravimetric waves naturally increase in intensity the closer that we get to the black hole,” Wendell said. “But as long as we remain a safe distance away from it, we should be safe from its effects.”

Zero was working on his consul. He was A little upset that no one backed him up He has seen it done hundreds of times before. The plan was very simple. 1.stop outside of the affected area. 2 load a customized high yield torpedo. 3. Scan the blacks Event horizon for the best area to collapse the black hole and fire. Zero felt like the Science officer was just playing way to save.

The ship jumped into high warp without issue, though the black hole still interfered with long-range sensors ahead of their course to the SS Anne. After several hours the ship entered range of the black hole in order to fly by - if they maintained their present course they would reach the Anne in only a few more hours, but, if they re-adjusted course to straighter line to cut closer to the black hole (and skirting normal safety limits) they could shave an hour off their journey.

The Angel appeared to be operating normally. As the Memorial drew farther away the distinct signal faded into a bright dot. There was no longer any need for him to watch it so closely. He returned to his seat to help oversee the ship’s close passage by the black hole.

“The Hole is interfering with some of my long range scans,” Wendell said. “If we want to get to the right coordinates, we can cut time by one hour by traversing closer to the Hole. And risk damage. Otherwise, it’s a few hours to reach our target.”

“Sir!” Wendell said. “Perhaps if we put all power except for sensors and warp speed into the shields, i can get us closer to the Hole. Then, we can simply skim it and use the inertia to shave an hour or so off our travel time.”
