Wendell went to the main holodeck to run this particular probe experiment mainly because it involved chemicals that were so hazardous that he only wanted to use simulations of them.

He set the holodeck for a class M arctic planet, with a somewhat flat, yet rocky and snowy tundra terrain.

Then he prepared for the next stage of the experiment.

Sivith came in ands getting ready to program the holodeck when he noticed the Chief Science Officer. “Oh. Sorry Chief. I didn’t think anyone was in here.” HE looked at what he was doing and was curious. “Do you need any help chief or is this a private moment?”

“Sure, Chief,” Wendell replied. “I’m doing a little experiment that may need more containment then the labs can provide. I can use a witness.”

the holodeck doors opened and a slightly pale man wearing a Hawaiian shirt, shorts and sandals. He had his face buried in a PADD and was startled by his suddenly very cold feet and he let out the least masculine sound he had made up to that point in his life. Looking down at his feet then into the room he did a double take seeing all the snow and the 2 other officers.

“Woah, this isn’t holodeck 2. sorry to disturb you” he started. Then just as he was about to turn away he stopped and asked “Whatch’ya guys doing? Why is it so cold in here?” all the while shivering and trying to ignore his immense discomfort.

“I’m conducting a little experiment,” Wendell told Lt. Jg. Robinson. “You can watch! But you may want the holodeck to change your attire to cold weather gear.”
