Valoru had checked in with the boatswain and at his quarters, and now needed to check in with the Chief Medical Officer. He had a physical prior to Academy graduation, but he knew he was due. Plus it was standard protocol.

The doors to the main sickbay opened up and the Andorian entered. He found the CMO and saluted. “Doctor, Ensign Valoru reporting as requested.”

A tall blond man in a white lab coat stood in the middle of the bay talking with a short nurse. It was almost a full minute before he turned around and studied the Andorian closely “Quite” He said in an unemotional manner “I’m doctor Grey” He introduced himself “Have a…” He paused, feeling his nurse furrowing her brow, hearing as she put her hands on her hips in a disapproving manner. He blinked and forced a smile “Please have a seat” he gestured to a bed then half turned his head to the short woman rolling his eyes at her to which a victorious smile was her only answer.

Dr. Grey - CMO

The Andorian approached and hefted himself into the biobed, sitting rather calm and yet his back and torso straight. His fit body underneath his uniform was toned and muscular. “I had an exam back at the academy, but it’s been a bit I suppose.”

Ensign Valoru, Security Officer

Jack opened his tricorder and removed the wand and started the scan cycle “Not really but protocol dictates that all Crewmembers have baseline medical checks upon arrival followed by annual checks. This way we have more detailed records on hand” The Scotsman explained calmly “I’m assuming this is your first starship assignment since the Academy?” Hee asked with moderate curiosity.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Valoru had never thought about it as having a baseline - that made sense. He was always so fit and in shape that he never fussed with medical concerns. But knowing more about him on this particular ship was good enough for him to embrace it.

“Yes,” he answered the doctor. “First posting. I did a lot of work before I came to the academy, but first Starfleet assignment indeed.”

Basic Vitals Blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen flow - all nominal
Other Vitals Blood Diastolic & Systolic, Brain K%, Lung cfm, Cell rate - all nominal, Temperature - slightly low (even for Andorian)
Chemical Analysis Blood, cholesterol, lipids, and other items - all nominal
Structural Analysis Several healed fractures and ligament damage, muscle tissue excellent - all nominal
Organ System and Disease Counters No anomalies
Recommendation continued diet and exercise, calming exercises for nerves

Jack closed the tricorder and placed the device on a nearby tray “Despite some abnormal temperature readings you seem to be in good shape” He grabbed a large medical PaDD, tapping it a few times bringing up the man’s medical records “Get yourself something warm to drink and eat, the base room temperature should be high enough for an Andorian but if you feel the need then put something warmer on. Do you feel cold?” He asked finally.

Dr. Grey - CMO

Valoru cocked his head, almost Vulcan-like. “No, I rarely get cold.” He wore a dark blue workout suit most of the time when he wasn’t on duty, so he was used to being in not-so-warm clothing. “But I’ll monitor the temperature if that works?”

En Valoru, Security

Jack shrugged “That should be fine, just make sure yer temperature doesn’t go any lower, you might not feel it but yer body will” He said casually “Well with that out the way I declare you fit for duty, welcome onboard the Memorial Ensign” He gave the same forced smile as before, half bowing his head.

Dr. Grey - CMO

The Andorian nodded with a grin as the doctor made his declaration. “Thank you, doctor.” Valoru would be in the holodeck as soon as he could to get exercising, which would raise his temperature and adrenaline and everything quickly. But for now, he had other things to do as he checked in to the ship. “I hope I don’t have to see you soon,” he said with a wink. Although as a Security officer, he may have to deal with the doctor more often than others. Of course, he didn’t mind the curt doctor, he just didn’t like injured people… well, injured good guys.

Valoru got up and left sickbay after thanking a couple of the nurse hands.
