Tralla was sitting in her ready room having caught up on paperwork and such waiting for Starfleet to give them a mission She was just sitting and sipping a soda and sighing with boredom

Just then Jade rang the chime and walked in “Here are the shift rosters for the next couple of weeks.” she said handing Tralla the padd. she looked at Trala “Uh oh someones bored. ” she said with a smile.

She took the pad and left it on her desk “Your darn right I am bored Command seems to have forgotten about us…Oh there is one thing I wanted to talk to you about…I was thinking What if you and I trained our Helms people in Fighter tactics I been having Maizie run some simulations and it turns out despite her bigger size The Memorial could pull off some of our old fighter maneuvers and I would like us to be more nimble besides I think it would better protect their ego’s if ether of us did not have to in an emergency take over just to use our skills that way”

Tralla said after waving a hand to offer Jade a seat “You want something to drink by the way?” she asked casually

Jade took a seat “I’ll have a cup of earl grey, hot of course” she said wth a half smile.

“Training them up might be a good idea. However in that type of situation either e or you will be on the bridge. we would have to adjust the fighter pilot training programme to adjust for the size and shape of the Memorial, as well as her engine power and control sensitivity. it could work though” She said after a small time to think.

She got up and got Jade the Drink of a Legendary captain “Sure we will need to work out some details but still if we are in combat I want to use this ship to its full potential besides showing our helm officers some of our old tricks would be fun passing them down to the next generation and all” she said smiling as she brought Jade her tea

Jade nodded “The federation always makes this mistake.” she said as she took her drink of Tralla “They disbanded the MACOs then they got involved in a bunch of wars. After which they reinstated them. It only took millions of death. I’m worried they’re doing the same with scaling back all the fighter wings. We’ll probably end up facing something where a group of fighter would be perfect to deal with it. ” She said as she took a sip of her drink.

Tralla sighed “Yeah I know but it might not be quite as bad I mean we are in a time of peace right now so no need for so many pilots as long as they keep up the bare minimum those active pilots can train more and then there are those like us that have retired our fighter wings…we can teach others our tips and tricks anyway so they can be ready just encase!” she said sitting back down at her desk

“That’s what they said about the marines” she said before taking a sip of her tea “Before the enemy came knocking. My mother must be one of the only admiral in star fleet to see it. She has the largest squadron at her disposal but even they might not be enough.” she added.

“But you’re right we can teach other like minded people how to fly. That is if we can keep up with the younger officers” she said a half smile on her face.

“Speak for yourself!” she joked “anyway start drawing up a plan and come up with scenarios on the holodeck,” she said smiling after a few moments of silence she continued “Hows your daughter adjusting to the change in ship I know its been hard on them with our promotion and what not” she said looking at a picture of her BJ and Lilith on the holodeck

“She seems OK. However i’m starting to wonder if she’s truly happy here. She says things every now and then that make me wonder. I’ve been thinking bout sending her back to earth to live at edge hill manor.” Jade said looking out the window “I’ll ask her first of course. Whether she’ll answer me or not is another thing. I won’t rush her though” Jade added.

“I have been thinking about the same thing with Lilith But then again I have to fix the damage between myself and her due to not being in her life before now…and I really would not want to split her and Mia up Maybe we should schedule appointments for them to see the counselor and find out what’s wrong Im going to talk to Lilith first though and see if i cant get it out of her” she sighed

“It must be hard for them. they went from a ship with a lot of kids, to one with hardly any. they had to leave all their friends behind and start brand new here.” Jade said “Maybe we where both cruel accepting a promotion.” she added “Yes it was good for our careers but u think we forgot to think of the effect it would have on our children. I know what it’s like i moved from ship to ship with my mother during my childhood.” she said sighing deeply.
