“The foundation of a competent command staff is companionship and respect,” Lissan remarked. “What is the friendship between you and the Captain like?” She wanted to get a better sense of what relationships Jones had outside of those with familial ties. She seemed like a good woman, from what she could deduce so far; Lissan was in doubt of any problems arrising in the future aside from her own impending unhappiness.

Jade smiled “We’re as thick as thieves. We have been close friends or a long time. We didn’t start off as friends. She was my squadron leader when i transferred from outpost omega to the fighter wing aboard the Ark Angel. At first i thought she was stubborn, over aggressive and a little arrogant. Your typical Andorian. No offence” Jade said looking at the CNS.

“Most of my people take pride in their confidence, Commander.” She assured, waving a hand in dismissal to what could have been considered as an insult.

“but after a while and me saving her life we started to get closer. Since then we have always been stronger together. I can tell her anything ans she can do the same with me. We know each other well enough that we can sometime predict what the other is going to do or say. Out of all the people i have encountered i trust her the most.” she added.

“It sounds like you two are sisters, for lack of better term. A bond like that isn’t often found, especially out here. You’re fortunate to have each other.” Lissan smiled at the thought, considering how close Jones and Tralla were. “What is your fondest memory with her?” It was her final question; way to end their meeting on a happier note so Jones could leave in a better mood than she had come..or so Lissan hoped.

“I don’t know. there are so many. The time we flew rings around an arrogant fighter squadron, they where so angry. The time we got into a small scrap in a bar after a guy got a little to close. The day i married my second husband she was my maid of honour. Our children firs day of school we where both worrying how they would find it.” Jade said smiling “I really can’t narrow it down. I have so many fond memories.” she added.

“That is truly beautiful, Commander.” She smiled, singing off at the base of her PaDD. “Tralla is an incredible friend, from what I can tell; you’re lucky to have her and vice versa.” She set the PaDD aside. “*I don’t believe I have any further reason to hog your time, Jones. Thank you for taking a moment to chat with me,” she smiled, “you’re hereby cleared for duty.”

“Should you ever need anything, you know where to find me. I may not have ears, but I’m here to listen.”

Jade stood up and smiled “Thank you Counsellor. Also f you ever need to talk to me, my door is always open” she said as she headed for the door. “Good luck with the rest of the evals” she added as she left.
