Wendell looked at his chronometer. It was about 20:00 hours. He’d been at it in the main science labs for the last twelve hours. And he was famished.

So it was that he headed to the ship’s lounge for dinner. He looked for a table that had a view of the stars.

CSO

Once he found his table, he waited on the, err, waiter.

“One bacon mushroom double cheeseburger, please,” he ordered. “No condiments. With steak fries and for them, lots of ketchup. Medium rare.”

“And a tall glass of iced root beer.”

CSO

“Ye’ll go to an early grave eating like that Commander” The soft accented voice of the ships Chief Doctor came from behind the Scientist. The Thin Blond man was eating his own dinner, a Ceaser salad, and a clear drink. “Although I do admit it does sound quite nice” He added with a smile “Busy day?”

“But at least he’d die happy, Doctor.” came a voice from near the entrance. The heavy-framed figure and perpetually smiling blue face of the Bolian Chief Engineer nodded in the direction of the two officers. “Sorry, couldn’t help but overhear.” he said with a widening of the smile.

Wendell had just gotten his meal and he hadn’t yet started to eat. “Hey, Doctor,” he said. He waved the Bolian over as well. “It looks like I wasn’t the only one ready for late dinner. Why don’t you guys join in?”

Fil walked into the lounge for something to eat. As he passed his CO , Fil said “Hello sir.” Then he went to his table.
