NC-Chief Vall drummed her fingers on the edge of her console as she sat on the stool from the operator’s booth in transporter room 1. She had gotten a notice that she should expect two officers to come down for beam over to that science station. But like many of the lower ranked Non-coms on the Memorial things had been dull lately for the combat minded crew. “..Gods I’d kill for something to blow up right now..” she muttered. “..some rogue romulans, or pirates or something sheesh!”

“Just pray that we’re far enough away when something does blow up, I don’t want to hear engineering moaning about what we’re doing to there precious ship” John replied walking into the transporter room

”..Oh! Sir sorry I didn’t hear you come in..” Vall said taken by surprise of John’s arrival. “..We’re ready to beam you and the other teams over once they all arrive..” She said.
