Lari dawdled along the corridor on her way to an appointment that filled every new officer with dread, her psyche evaluation. She momentarily thought about making an excuse and postponing but she decided she would rather just get it over and done with. As she arrived at the counsellors office she took a deep breath and tentatively pressed the buzzer.

Finally.. a moment of peace. It’s just you and me now, Earl. A smile painted itself across the otherwise placid features of the young counselor, as she leaned forwards, eagerly to wrap her fingers around the pipping hot cup of Earl Grey tea. A second before she had almost met her bliss, she sensed the precense of a new being. Oh! Someone’s here. I’m afraid you’ll have to wait, there was disappointment in her thoughts. Although, the excitement in meeting a new person overwhelmed every ounce of sadness. Rising to her feet, she meandered over to the door, watching as it hissed open. “Hello!” She greeted, although her lips did not move. Instead, it would seem as if the sound were emanating from thin air. “What can I do for you, Ensign?”
