As a psychiatrist, a fellow medical professional, Lissan was no stranger to the necessity of the mandatory physical. Albeit, as a person, a hybrid with oddities, she found she often became a specimen of wonder. While it was incredibly irrational, her displeasure for the physical procedure, Lissan stood behind her belief. At least the opportunity to get to know some of the other medical officers was appealing enough to drag Lissan’s protesting feet down to the Sickbay.

Tightening the hold her hair was held in, she took in a soft breath, taking a few moments to figure out a sense of direction. Furrowing her eyebrows, she glanced around her current deck, as if briefly confused about her heading. Surely she had gotten off on the right stop? Or perhaps it had been the next, and her brief conversation with the good engineer had resulted in distraction?

“You seem lost,” a clear voice protruded into her silence, its volume a clear indication of how close its owner happened to be. “Need some help?”

The voice was hesitant, as if uncertain if Lissan could hear him. No doubt a result of her obvious lack of auditory appendages. Tilting her head, her gaze gave way to a slim man, whose spotted temple and kind eyes were enough to speak of who he was. “Help would be great, actually.” Lissan wasn’t as proud as to shun a way a good set of extra eyes. “Do you happen to know where the Sickbay is? Odd question, I know.”

The Trill officer seemed to consider her question, as if concerned by her lack of knowledge. “New to the ship?” He smiled, understandingly. “This way,” He gestured with a quiet movement.

Nodding, Lissan followed him down the halls, hardly surprised to find she was on the wrong deck. Blushing in embarrassment, as they entered the turbolift, she could barely meet his gaze. “Apparently I wasn’t only heading the wrong direction, but on the wrong deck completely.” She chuckled, awkwardly.

“It happens to the best of us,” He shrugged. The following minutes sparked a brief conversation about the Memorial. Zenobia was curious to know what kind of people walked her decks, and what she could be expecting in the psyche of the ship. Holding amicable conversation until the Sickbay doors appeared to tug it away, Lissan waved farewell to the helpful Ensign, stepping past the threshold before her.

Silently, Zenobia glanced about for any sign of an unbusied doctor.

Dr. Lissan
Counselor

“Doctor Lox; you have a patient.”

The Betazoid’s eyes turned from the nurse beside him and followed her gaze to the place where stood a rather peculiar looking woman; she looked Andorian … but different.

“Duty calls,” he said to the nurse. “But I will convince you to have a drink with me at some point.” He left her with a smile, and her reply of “You can keep trying!” as he made his way over to the officer.

“Good afternoon, Lieutenant.” He said, respectfully. “Can I be of assistance?”

Ens. Lox
Med

Afternoon, Doc.” Lissan peppily reciprocated, wearing a tiny smile. “Yes. If you don’t have anything pressing, I need a quick physical done. Otherwise, my degree, here, would prove useless.” She joked, stepping over to Lox.
