It was a slow afternoon for Tello so she worked on catching up on anything that had gone by the wayside in the last week to ten days. Sitting down at her desk with a fresh cup of coffee, she turned to the computer to review the meetings she’d had in that time. It never hurt to read over notes she’d posted in personnel files, and to make any adjustments needed. She was going over NE Smith’s dream diary (the NEnsign had night terrors so Anaar assigned her the task of writing down as much as she could remember upon wakening) when her comm badge sounded. Still eyeing the journal, Tello tapped her badge in answer =/\=Cmdr Anaar here. Who am I speaking with?=/\=

=/\=Counselor, its NELt Wesson. I’ve just had a terrible fight with my partner. Do you have any free time this afternoon that I could come by?=/\=

Tello smiled. So much for free time. =/\=I have the entire afternoon available, NELt. What time would you like to stop by?=/\=

=/\=Wonderful, Counselor, thank you so much. I can be there by 1500 hrs if that’s alright?=/\=

=/\=Absolutely, Wesson. I’ll see you then. Anaar out.=/\= That pretty much set the pace for her afternoon.

Having gotten quite a bit done in the hours between the time she set the appointment with Wesson and the 1500 hrs the Ensign was due to arrive, Tello sat back on the couch and sipped at a cup of tea. She hadn’t eaten anything yet and was feeling a bit peckish. She called her quarters, =/\=Computer, leave message for Pic in LtCmdr Anaar’s quarters. Haven’t had a chance to eat today, let’s have an early dinner in the lounge and we can go from there.=/\= He could hear fine, so if he was in their quarters when she left the message, he would hear it. If he was out, he would see the message light blinking on the screen whenever he returned. Within a minute, there was a return message waiting for her. She pressed the key on her PaDD to display the words. =/\=Sounds good.=/\= Well, that would be a nice change, dinner out. They might see someone interesting.

The afternoon passed quickly. The appointment with Wesson went off without a hitch and Tello had almost enough time to finish catching up on her files. With a little pep in her step, she left the office and headed for her quarters to catch a shower and change of clothes.

On her own for the evening, Tello entered the lounge dressed in a green, silk jumpsuit. Without hesitation, she took possession of a barstool and sat. “White wine, please.” The server, who recognized her even out of uniform, smiled.

“Certainly, Counselor.” He splashed the drink into a rounded glass that sat atop a stem and gave her a curious look. “Will you be meeting someone tonight or would you like to put in a food order now?”

Tello gave a soft laugh. “Well, as far as meeting someone—I don’t have anything planned, but you never know. And I think I’m good with just the wine for now.” She nodded her head, then turned to look at the officers present. She drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Company would be welcomed, she thought.

Rado sat on a nearby barstool, exhausted. Herding twenty people into the brig was even harder than he thought. Even his subordinate T’Han, who definitely possessed the Vulcan strength, had difficulty restraining some of them. “Bajoran ale, please, Bihr.” He said, trying not to let his exhaustion affect his manners.
