=^= Intruders are on Decks Ten, Eleven and Twelve =^= replied the computer.
GM
“Mr. Rado, get yourself to those decks and coordinate efforts to repel the invaders,” McCleary ordered.
Hitting the ship wide comms, he relayed. “All personnel, we have been boarded by the enemy. Prepare for defensive measures.”
“Amoran,” Rado uttered breathlessly in horror. He tapped his combadge, “All Security Officers, we have a code red on Decks 10, 11, and 12. I repeat, Code Red on 10 through 12.”
He approached to the turbolift. Upon almost tripping on the unconscious Tolly, he looked at Ensign Sol’lin, “You probably should get these officers to Sickbay, uh, Ensign.”
Lieutenant Junior Grade Rado Gainn
Chief of Security“Aye sir,” Sol’lin responded promptly. He hoisted up Captain Nightroad over his shoulder. The weight of his body hung limp without assistance. Sol’lin hauled him the best he could off the bridge.
(OOC: Do I crosspost with Medical?)
|Ens. Sol’lin, Communication Officer|
As Rado stepped onto the turbolift, he directed a few ensigns to pick up the other unconscious officers.
As the turbolift closed and begun to move, Rado whispered a Bajoran prayer.
(OCC: Maybe.)
Lieutenant Junior Grade Rado Gainn
Chief of SecurityOOC: McCleary called for medical assistance as soon as he got to the bridge.
IC: As all hell broke loose, both inside and out side the Memorial, Saxon made a decision. He moved quickly to the tactical station and began firing phasers as well as torpedoes at the Excalibur.
Switching channels on the comms, he called to the CAG, =^=Firefly, this is McCleary, get your birds back on board. We’re going to make a run for it and get back on the other side of that rip in space.=^=
=/\=”Wilco, Memorial,” Firefly agreed. =/\=
“Helm, continue defensive maneuvers, but get us back through the rip as soon as you get the word that all birds have come home to mama. Now that they have their people on board, they’re not going to destroy us. So their attacks should lighten, which, hopefully will give us the time we need.”
=^=Torpedo room, load 2 tricobalt torpedoes in forward launcher 1. I want them ready to fire at the ISS Memorial as soon as we get back to our ‘verse.=^=
“Angel, what are the chances a transphasic torpedo will be able to close the rip behind us, or make it bigger. I don’t want the Excalibur following us home. We’ll deal with other Memorial when we get to the other side.”
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS MemorialLieutenant Colonel John “Firefly” Arlen
Commander, Air GroupEnsign Boyd looked up from his console.
“Sir,” he said, with a twinge of regret in his voice. “The disturbance in the area is causing isolated pockets of space-time distortion, that seems to be linking the two universes together. However, these are exceptionally small and fleeting; enough to get a fighter through, but if we try to get through, we’ll be ripped apart. I suspect that’s why the other ship, if it is indeed the alternative version of the Memorial, from getting through,” he finished, sighing. “If only we had a way of creating a tunnel between two quantum universes.” he continued, with a slight shrug.
GM
Saxon cursed under his breath. “Then how in the hell did we get sucked into this universe and their Memorial into ours?!? Something had to tear a big enough hole for that to happen!!”
=^= Bridge, this is Major Vektul in Engineering. Chief Engineer is down. I’m assuming control. Warp core integrity compromised but holding. We’re rerouting injectors and prioritizing core stability. Dorsal shield grid is unstable—recommend evasive maneuvers to minimize stress. =^=
-Major Vektul
Acting Chief Engineer=^=Acknowledged, Major. That’s what we’ve been doing up here. Do whatever you can to keep us running.=^=
Saxon was running out of options. They had pretty much the same capabilities of the Excelsior, yet their attacks were doing more damage. and the Memorials seemed ineffective. As the one in current command, the CIO made a decision.
“Lt. Rado, (or whoever is manning weapons. I’ve lost track of you is still on the Bridge.), cease fire. Comms, open a channel to the Excelsior. I want to talk to Capt. Goodspeed.”
Saxon sat down in the center seat and waited. . . .
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS MemorialThe ship suddenly stopped shaking, as an energy wave based across the bridge. Boyd furrowed his brow as he looked at his console.
Saxon froze in his seat. “What the. . . . ?? What just happened? Status report all station. Boyd, where’s the Excalibur?”
“Sir… the Excalibur… it’s no longer there,” he said, puzzled as he scanned the area of space they were in. “However, there is something else out there,” he said, trying to target the sensors on the new contact.
Suddenly the comms channel crackled open, and a piercing, discordant screech - equal parts grinding metal and garbled code - filled the comms, a sound that seemed to rattle the bones of the crew on the bridge.
GM
McClary covered his ears as he turned to the comms station. “NE Comms, turn that down!!”
As the volume decreased, he uncovered his ears and continued., “That’s got to be the clankers. . . .analyze that, and feed it it through the translator. Boyd, is that the same ship we encountered before?”
“If we’re back in our universe, did the other Memorial go back to theirs or were they destroyed? Search for a debris field.”
=^=Firefly, McCleary again. We may have just jumped back to our universe. . . .or maybe somewhere else altogether. No confirmation on where we are. Please tell me all the birds made it back on board before we jumped.=^=
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS Memorial=/\= “That’s affirmative, McCleary,” Firefly reported. “Switching over to internal ship comms.” =/\= There was the distinct hiss of the pressurized cockpit opening, and the line cut.
Lieutenant Colonel John “Firefly” Arlen
Commander, Air Group
Boyd scanned the contact. “It’s comparable to the other ship we encountered; same material, same shape…” he paused.. “but it’s over ten times bigger…”.
He went silent as he scanned the area. “There are also no indications of debris… or any sign of Starfleet for that matter…” he looked puzzled as he analysed the scans. “None of the Federation navigation markers are responding… it’s just empty space.”
