Penji is at the science station waiting for orders. He sees that everyone is busy at their posts. Penji is checking the readings for any anomolies.

BJ noticed the new science officer. He hadn’t had much of a chance of interact with him. He went up to him. “How’s it going?”

Ens. Fil noticed Cmdr. BJ Jansen approaching him. “Everything is working fine, sir”, Penji said. “Is there a problem, sir?”

BJ hated being callled sir. It was only due to rank that he got called it. “No problems. Just wanted to see how you were settling in. We’ve all been the new guy at some point. If you want to talk about anything just come and find me. If I’m not on the bridge, I’ll be around a lab.”
