Suddenly a point of light shot out of the Excalibur’s torpedo tubes. However, rather than heading towards the Memorial or one of its fighters, it shot passed them and entered one of the space distortions, disappearing from view.

Cain jumped out of his chair and calmly asked, “What happened, was that a torpedo from the Excalibur?” Cain was trying to fathom what the Goodspeed from this universe would do next.

“Sir with what I have gotten out of the sensor scans it must’ve been that torpedo from the Excalibur. Though, I do not know how or what or even why just yet.” He said looking at the captain.

Sol’lin reviewed what brief information was gathered about the torpedo, it’s trajectory, and what was picked up via passive scans.

“The torpedo’s flight path suggested the Excalibur intended it to enter the space distortions. Passive scans suggest it was not armed. If I may make a conjecture, Captain, the torpedo casing may have been housing a probe.”

OOC: I know Jack is writing on the Excalibur thread and you can read it but on the Memorial your characters has no clue what that was and need to analyze and let the GM answer your analysis.

OOC: I think this is one of those times that good RP’ing outweighs being purist. I thought it was great that someone brought information from another thread into this - GMs tend to leave clues littered around, and being able to pick up on them and act on them really helps keep the thread going. I’d encourage everyone to read all of the posts to spot these clues.

For the time being, I’m happy that this post is entirely valid and doesn’t warrant any voiding… carry on!

McCleary’s voice came over the shipboard comms. =^=Captain, I got all I’m going to get out of Arkis for the time being. She’s going into surgery. My opinion is to call back the fighters and make a run for that space/time rip. Maybe the other Memorial will come back to this universe as we get back to ours. Then launch torpedoes, phasers, and anything else we’ve got to keep anybody else from coming through or close it up. I’m on my way back to the bridge.=^=

Moments later the deck shook violently as the Excalibur opened fire on the Memorial.

Rado spoke up. “Sir, they’re firing weapons at us. Shall I, uh, respond in kind?”

“Not yet, Mr. Rado.” Cain replied, ” Be ready, but we will not be the aggressor here.” After a moment Cain said, “Sol’lin, open a channel to the Excalibur.” and hoped there would be a peaceful way out of this

“Aye, sir,” Sol’lin replied, as he attempted to establish contact with the Excalibur.

A disjointed voice came out of the speakers on the bridge; apparently the Excalibur wasn’t going to show video.

“Surrendering already, Nightroad?” The voice goaded.
