I made my way to see Wendell Vaughn, the science department head. We talked about what my duties would be. I look forward to meeting the crew and working at the science station. It’s great to be wearing the blue science uniform with my ensign pip[ rank.

OCC your doing better with the topic however as I have said we post in Third Person perspective Like this as an example Do not copy word for word what I write here This is just to show you how we write

Ensign Penji walked down the hall running a finger proudly over his new Ensign’s rank Pip it filled him with joy just being assigned to a starship like the USS Memorial and he could not wait to meet the crew and get to work

You see Third person as if you the writer/reader are watching what happens to your character on TV :D

The CSO’s office could be entered by going through the main science lab. It was partitioned off with a bulkhead of transparent aluminum. Access was gained through a sliding door.

The CSO himself, Lt. Cmdr. Wendell Vaughn, was seated in a plushy arm chair at his desk. Two similar visitors chairs faced him opppsite the desk.

Wendell was working on his computer while drinking a steaming cup of coffee.

There were also a few other scientists in the lab itself. They were working in various projects.
