“Commander,” Sabik said inquisitively, “What is the object that you have brought into the lab.” Sabik instinctively told the computer, “Computer, erect a level 2 force field around the object.” Pulling out his tricorder, Sabik started scanning the cube like object while inspecting it. Sabik waited for a response to his scans while apologizing to Commander Hall Angel with, “Sir, excuse my intrusion into your analysis of the object but I did hear that all Department Heads were summoned to the Main Briefing Room. My team here in Science Lab 1 can finish the analysis and send you the results.” Sabik raised an eye brow while waiting for the Commanders response.Sabik
Scientist“Thank you Lieutenant. Keep me informed while I am there at the meeting. After that, I’d like to know your background after everything is done.” The commander said to the lieutenant.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialSabik looked at the Commander and said, “That is a most logical decision Sir” and watched him walk out the lab. Sabik looked at his team with a balanced demeanor and stated, “We have an objective to accomplish. Each of you please complete your analysis as quickly and accurately as possible. Time is of the essence.” Sabik went back to his tricorder waiting for the first set of scan results.
LT Sabik
ScientistCommander Angel walks back from the bridge since the meeting had then been basically concluded. Hall then walked into the turbolift and said “Science lab.” He said to the computer. The turbolift doors had then swooshed closed. He was happy that he has at least one person in his department.
The turbolift had then halted and the doors swooshed wide open. He then walked out of it and started walking to the science lab. By the time he got to the science lab, the lab doors swooshed wide open. “Lieutenant. What’s the status on this cube that we have? I’m sure once we get a good science report done I’ll then go ahead and give it to the captain. Again. Depending on what you got for me.” He said looking at the Lieutenant. “Also, I also want to eventually sit down and hopefully get to know you and everything. Did you also do your other check in’s by any chance. Once we are done. I would suggest you go and do that. But first of all, this is more important. So what do we got?” He asked with a smile.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“Sir,” Sabik answered, “Our scans are still incomplete and it would be unwise to speculate without it being complete.” Sabik thought about the next thing the Chief Science Officer said and replied, “Once I arrived aboard ship, the logical place for me was here to start the investigation. I plan to finish my In-processing of the ship once the situation allows the time.”
LT Sabik
Scientist“That’s what I like to hear once everything is done. Since everything has finished up there at the bridge I just thought I’d come down and lend a hand.” He said offering his assistance to Lieutenant Sabik.

USS MemorialPassive scans of the cube showed that it wasn’t emitting any energy pattern. However, when the science team conducted active scans to determine its construction, they found that the reflected signal was weaker than it should have been. It was only when they increased the tricorder power output to 1000%, that they got the anticipated response.
Scans of the surface showed intricate micro-etchings, resembling a combination of circuitry and perhaps even runes. Further scans would show that the cube contained different quantum layers within the structure, with each layer appearing to shift or reconfigure when scanned.
More curiously, when the active scans had been completed, passive sensors would observe an increase in tachyon particles around the cube for a brief period of time before they dissipated.
GM
“That’s odd. What happened?” Commander Hall asked. Not sure what was going on.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“Fascinating.” Sabik said emotionless, “The engineering department might want to be a part of this considering the amount of tachyon particles that briefly emanated from the cube Commander .” Sabik said to the Chief Science Officer. Sabik when back to looking over the scan results wondering what the micro etching was for. “Ensign,” Sabik said, “Let us start by figuring out what these etchings are for then we can dig deeper into the cube.”
“Computer”, Sabik said, “Please display a three dimensional representation of the cube surface at 200 percent resolutioin.” and waited for the display.
LT Sabik
Scientist“What is this showing us, Lieutenant?” Hall asked.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialThe computer displayed a closer up visual of the cube, but with the microscopic etchings amplified. They clearly were markings of some language, rather than functional pathways on the circuit.
GM
Hall Angel looked at it and then spoke up. “Computer. Identify the language on the cube.” He asked the computer to go ahead and do something that is unusual for the markings that hasn’t been open just yet.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“The language is not a recognised language.” replied the computer.
GM
“Damn it.” He said. The computer wasn’t wrong. With the language not recognized, it’ll be harder for them even to know the origins. However, he realized something. “Computer. Pinpoint the main origin of the cube.” He said.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“The object is of unknown origin. However, quantum signatures from the object do not match the quantum signature of the ship.”
OOC: Don’t give up too easily on the language. I’d like to see a bit more problem solving than just asking for the translation.
GM
“Computer. Is it possible that the quantum signature of the cube could be borg?” He asked but wasn’t so sure about it.
OOC: Oh I’m not giving up. It’s how he is. He’s expressing what else could there be.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“Insufficient information,” responded the computer. “Specific quantum signatures are associated with all matter common within a quantum universe.”
GM
Sabik’s eyebrow lifted with the computers remark. Looking at the cube, Sabik asked, “Computer does the cube share our quantum signature?” Sabik looked at the Lucas and said, “Everything in a universe shares a quantum signature. If this cube has a different signature then it is not from our universe.”
Sabik, Science
“Negative, the cube does not share the same quantum signature as Lieutenant Commander Hall or Lieutenant Sabik,” the computer dutifully replied.
GM
Hall walks back in. “Computer. Does the cube have borg technology?” He asked.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialOOC: If I were to play a game of “hot and cold”, I would have said “hotter” when quantum signatures were being discussed. You have literally just found out that the cube is not from the same universe as the Memorial.
IC: “Negative,” replied the computer.
GM
Sabik looked at the cube and said, “Fascinating.” then looking towards the Commander and stated, “Sir, I recommend letting the bridge know that the cube is not from our universe and to scan our area to possibly scan long range to figure out if their are any other quantum signatures that match the cube.”
Sabik went back to his scans of the cube trying to figure out any other vital information.
Sabik, Scientist
“Good suggestion Lieutenant. I’ll do so now.” Lucas said.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialAfter Hall Angel had left the room, Sabik’s eyes caught hold of a reflection of the cube on a nearby console. Whilst not readable, they appeared identical to the non-reflected version - well, almost…
GM
Sabik looked closer at the semi reflection and said, “Fascinating.” and started to form his next move in his mind. After a moment, Sabik said, Computer, please display a 3-D inverse representation of the cube’s surface.” and waited.
Sabik, Scientist
Hall returned from the ready room on the bridge. Lucas looked over at Sabik. “Lieutenant? Is there something you have found?” Lucas asked as soon as the lab doors shut behind him.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“Sir,” Sabik replied, “We will soon have an answer to that question.”
Sabik, Scientist
“Good. That’s something I like to hear is something to answer that answer.” Lucas said.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialIC:
The computer chimed, and one of the holoprojectors hummed, displaying an identical, but reflected, version of the cube next to the original.GM
“Computer,” Sabik asked, “Can you identify the symbols displayed on the holographic projection?” An idea was starting to formulate in the Vulcan’s mind that we might be in a mirror universe and if this was the case the old Earth phrase Toto, I’ve got a feeling we aren’t in Kansas anymore wouldn’t be far from reality. Sabik tapped his PaDD while he waited for the results of the current scan.
Sabik, Scientist
“Negative,” replied the computer, somewhat unhelpfully. A close examination would reveal that most of the etchings of the cube had a form of symmetry, making them look identical between the two cubes. There were, however, a small amount of the etchings that didn’t correspond. Perhaps overlaying the two cubes would yield some results.
GM
Sabik looked at the readings the computer had just said and started working on the next logical set of scans. With his mind made up, Sabik said to the computer, ” Overlay the holographic representation of the inverse cube with a holographic representation of the cube.”
Sabik looked over at Lucas and said, “When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”
Sabik, Scientist
“Lieutenant. I agree but since I’ve been dragged to the last couple of meetings it’s been something. But at the same time you’re correct.” Lucas had said.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“Aye Sir,” Sabik replied and puzzled over what the outcome of the scan would reveal.
Sabik, Scientist
“I’m sorry Lieutenant what I meant by what I said is ‘what you said. When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.’ That’s what I meant when I said that you’re correct.” He made it clear.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialThe overlayed images resulted in key parts of the inscription to line up, resulting in a grid of small dots, with unevenly spaced gaps in-between. The number of dots and gaps in each row totalled 64.
GM
Hall stood there looking at the whole thing. From what he is looking at of dots and gaps he looked over to the lieutenant. “Lieutenant what do you think these dots and gaps tell us?” He said to Sabik
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial“Sir,” Sabik replied, “There are many different conclusions to what these dots and gaps could represent from an old Earth transmission type known as Morse Code to a complex series of quantum numbers that we do not understand.” After a moment, Sabik said, “Computer, analysis of the new image we are seeing” and waited for the analysis.
Sabik, Scientist
=^= Based on the distribution of markings on the device, it appears to be data encoded in a format that can be represented in binary. =^= replied the computer. =^= Assuming 1024 permutations of an unknown language, it will take approximately 30 seconds to decode and run through the ship’s translation algorithms. =^=
GM
“Computer. Go ahead and decide and run the unknown language.” Hall said. Hoping to see what they get out of it.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial=^= Processing… =^= came the computer’s reply, as it effectively put both Lucas and Sabik on hold.
Suddenly a console flashed to life, as text streamed across it:
In balance, the path is clear,
Through harmony, the way appears.
Resonance binds the key to fate,
A single thread—adjust, equate.
Each world sings in its own tone,
A frequency that guides it home.
Set the course, align the light,
Or drift as echoes lost in night.
Mismatch brings a shattered sky,
Scattered souls may pass but die.
Tether firm to where you stand,
Or fade like whispers lost in sand.At the bottom of the page was a mathematical equation that seemed to express a relationship between a given quantum signature with a frequency.
GM
“Computer. What is this mathematical equation that expresses the relationship of the given quantum signature with the frequency?” Lucas asked the computer.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial=^= The equation determines a resonance frequency using the provided quantum constant. It is likely that the quantum constant relates to the quantum signature of a given universe. However, due to the waveform properties of the function, improper tuning risks quantum decoherence. If the generated frequency does not align precisely with the a universe’s quantum signature, the function may collapse. =^=
GM
“Hmmm.” He said thinking about what the computer had said. “Computer. In this case could it be possible that the cube we are looking at could be in some way come from this quantum signature from a completely different universe?” He asked the computer as he is gathering information and having it all input to a PaD he has.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial=^= The cube has the same quantum signature as the material in the local surrounds, but a different quantum signature to that of the Memorial and crew. =^=
GM
“Computer. You said that the quantum signature to that of the Memorial and crew is different. How different is it?” He asked.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS Memorial=^= The ship and crew originate from a different quantum universe to the one they currently occupy. =^=
GM
Sabik saw that the CSO was getting a little impatient and looked at him stating, “Sir, I believe knowing that we are not in the same place that we should be, you should be on the bridge in order to brief the Captain when we find out anything.” Sabik could tell that his team were a little hesitant with their had boss in the room. After a moment, Sabik said, “Sir, I will message you with any new information as soon as we have it.”
Sabik, Scientist
“Is it because you find me impatient?” He asked Lieutenant Sabik. “Here’s the thing, I know you want me to be on the bridge but the fact that I’ve gotten this much information, I’m sure we can get more out of this. However, I will be on the bridge would be something wise. But at the same time I can just request the captain to come here instead. I understand that being on the bridge has my post but at the same time, my job right now is right here at this present moment. I’m not gonna keep going back and forth between here and the bridge every time something comes up.” Commander Angel had said to Lieutenant Sabik.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel
Chief Science Officer
USS MemorialSabik’s had to analyze what the next move should be with the cube. He knew it did not originate from their known universe and from the other information he had been given the ship and crew were no longer in their original universe either. With that, Sabik tapped on his comm badge and said =/\=Sabik to Engineering, we require an engineer to adjust the Science Labs scanners and tricorders to match the quantum signature of the cube we are investigating.=/\=
Sabik, Scientist
“Lieutenant. Good call. I do hope this works all as well.” Lieutenant Commander Hall Angel said to Lieutenant Sabik.

She steps inside the science lab her mind going several miles a minute with thoughts of what it could be. Thoughts and possibilities flood her mind her mind as she looks around for the chief science officer.

Hall Angel looks up and says. “Commander how can we help you today?” He said to her.
Lieutenant Commander Lucas “Markiplier” Hall Angel

USS Memorial“I was wondering if anyone has tried to touch the cube yet?” She asks as she takes in the site of the cube.
Ravenfall, XO
“Negative.” He said point to the current data that they have already gathered.

USS MemorialWes arrived at Science Lab 1 after the call for an engineer was made. As he walked though the door, he looked around and asked, “Did someone call for a repair job?” Wes liked to keep things light humored and hoped the group in the room would be the same.
West “Wes” Averson, Engineer
“Yes Ensign,” Sabik retorted, “We require you to change the quantum signature of our scanning equipment to be in tune with the cube like object we are investigating.” Sabik thought he could do the upgrade but knew and Engineering Officer would be better suited.
Sabik, Engineer
She moves around the cube taking in the writing and other features “I would like to try to touch it bare handed!” She said as she looked up at the engineering officer and the chief.
Ravenfall, XO
“Go ahead commander. Just make sure it doesn’t do anything that’ll hurt you.” He said with extreme caution.
