“MOOOOOOOO-GIEEEEEEEEEEEE” came another wail, before the Ferengi suddenly went quiet. His body, previously contorted under the upset he was under, went limp.

Rado sighed and pressed his combadge. “Brig to sickbay, please send a nurse to the brig to administer a sedative. And, uh, a counsellor would be appreciated too.” He said, taking Frax’s obvious mental turmoil into account.

Turner and McCleary soon left to attend a meeting with the new captain, which was a surprise to him because he wasn’t aware of Captain Voss leaving. Staring at the unconscious Ferengi and wondering what to give him, he asked Ensign Bragason, “Do you, uh, think he likes Snail Steak?”

Sitting in his office, Dev’Res was finishing up his onboarding reports and getting ready to go talk to the Captain when an alert came in from the Brig. Both medical and counseling? He wasn’t sure what was going on but, he knew this couldn’t be good.

Once he walked into the room he saw the Ferengi laying in the cell and a Security Ensign on the outside. He knew there was nothing he could do on the medical end but, he could gather information. “Ensign, what is going on in here?”

Rado was surprised. He hadn’t expected counseling to arrive so soon. “Well, uh, this Ferengi named Frax is clearly under intense mental strain. His ship was, uh, attacked by droidlings and later Lieutenant McCleary let Frax think that he was going to be tortured. I managed to get him to open up by promising to take him to the holodeck, but McCleary stopped that from happening. And now, we’re here,” Rado explained, before adding, “He also seems to have a significant attachment to his mother.”

OOC: Only because no-one has actually taken a look at him after he suddenly fell silent…

IC: The Ferengi remained motionless, his body slumped on the floor, and his head titled to the left. A small trickle of blood started to ooze out of Frax’s left ear and dripped out on to the deck.

Tyr had stepped back as Rado and the intelligence officer discussed the future of the Ferengi but jumped back as they called for assistance and looked at the immobile Ferengi “Andskotinn” He cursed and removed his sidearm and secured it on the table “I’m going in” He grabbed one of the brig’s emergency medkit “Rado, close the field after me and rush those medics” He said his voice barely hiding panic but training kicked in and overwhelmed any other emotion as he jumped into the cell after tapping the forcefield off temporarily.

Rado closed the shield after Bragason and pressed his combadge. “MEDICS, HURRY! THE SITUATION IS DETERIORATING RAPIDLY! PICK UP THOSE FEET!” He panicked.

Dev’Res looked at the situation and decided to just act. “Ensign, lower that shield.” He stepped into the cell and knelt down next to Frax. “At least one of you needs to meet me in Sickbay, on the double. He tapped his commbadge, =/\=Computer, emergency site to site transport to Sickbay, erect a security barrier on transport. Initiate.=/\=

The commander and ferangi teleported out of the brig.

Rado looked at Ensign Bragason. “Uh… If it’s all the same to you, I’m going to, uh, meet with them in Sickbay.” He told his coworker, before heading out of the brig.
