USS Memorial
Main Briefing Room
Snip
Frank had come aboard with Nightroad and Ravenfall, but had peeled off at some point and then reconnected at this briefing. He was scrolling the medical case files from the last few months while waiting for the others to accumulate but when Nightroad spoke he slid the PaDD away and listened intently, eyes scanning the CO and XO from behind his silver framed glasses.

CMOMakoto watched shyly from her seat she was still getting used to this place she even still had to do her medical and psych evals She just hoped there would be time soon to really get settled in
Makoto Nishizumi
(She/Her)
Chief Engineer-USS Memorial“What I learned from our Ferengi guest in the brig, is that his group came upon a derelict ship, They went aboard to see what they could salvage and found the cube, which Lt. Cmdr. Angel and his team are studying. It was then the other ship, the same one that attacked us, showed up. The derelict was boarded by what Frax called ‘droidlings’, some type of AI robots that have squeaky wheels. Frax is terrified of them. They apparently wanted the cube, and when they didn’t get it, they zapped everybody but Frax, who was hiding with the cube, off the ship. That somewhat confirmed my suspicions the the Memorial was sent elsewhere, or elsewhen, as well.”
Turning to Turner, Saxon added, “Would you concur with that assessment, Lt. Cmdr. Turner? Is there anything you think I left out?”
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS MemorialTolly leans against the wall his arms folded “Frax shouldn’t have been in the brig to begin with,” he said with a sigh. “At least thats my humble opinion”
Lt Cmdr. John Tolly
Chief of OperationsThe Andorians eyebrows raised a bit at the mention of a Ferengi in the brig and furrowed a bit at the Lt Cmdrs comments. He nodded as his antennae flicked back and forth. Cube, Ferengi, robots… This was going to be a very interesting experience for a first ship posting.

CNSSaxon turned to the ops chief with a question. “Seriously?!? He was on the bridge while we were being attacked. He was unwilling to cooperate. He was in possession of the cube, unwillingly to share information that could have possibly helped us. The brig was the best place for him!! While in the brig, he finally shared some information. Therefore– objective achieved.”
“What, in your ‘humble opinion’, should we have done with him, Tolly?”
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS Memorial
“AND WHY SHOULD HE HAVE COOPERATED WITH US, COMMANDER?!” Tolly snapped. “We beam over to his ship, I start to negotiate in good faith with him, then suddenly our former XO gets a hair up her ass and decides to negotiate at phaser point. We beam him and this cube over here like pirates and then force him to get us information or else. So yes, Commander, I DON’T think he should have been thrown in the brig. If I had been allowed to continue negotiations, we may not be in this predicament!”Lt. Cmdr John Tolly
Chief of Operations“Hold John. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. The cube is still under investigation. We don’t even know what it is capable of doing let alone, being able to learn it’s true power. We must keep analyzing it before sending the cube over.” Lucas tried to be nice and friendly to Tolly. But not sure if it is working very well.

USS MemorialOOC: Richard and I must’ve been posting at the same time, so I’m pasting my reply in here. The other thread with my post is DEAD.
IC: Saxon remained calm while replying. “You don’t like the way the ex-XO handled the situation you bring it up with HER or file a complaint. I wasn’t even there, so don’t direct your frustration at me. He had information we needed as to what was going on. WE were under attack. I did what I needed to do. I was doing my job with the interrogation. You don’t like the way I work? I suggest you not be around the next time I’m trying to get answers.”
“As to why he was brought here? I can only hypothesize, but that derelict was not his ship. His ship and the rest of his crew got zapped away. No, you’re right, he probably didn’t need to brought here at the end of a phaser, but he wasn’t cooperating, so what were you going to do? Leave him there on that derelict, by himself? Let him face more of the droidlings by himself? He was already terrified of them.”
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS MemorialJohn half-rose from his seat at the increasingly raised voices, ready to intervene if it escalated any further. A quick glance to the captain told him that the man had the situation calmly in hand, and he slowly sat back down. There were faint circles under the CAG’s eyes - he’d been pulling long shifts and they were only getting longer at this point, but he remained alert so far.
Cain liked how the crew seemed to work together but needed to stop the escalation that seemed to be happening. Looking around the table he said, “I see that we are working towards finding out what is happening.” Cain paused a moment and continued, ” CMDR Hall Angel, continue your work on the cube; LT Nishizumi please go with him as Chief Engineer to see if you can figure anything out.”
Cain continued, “Everyone else please continue with what you are working on. Commander Ravenfall, you have the conn. I will be in my Ready Room if anyone needs to talk to me.” Cain looked at Viktoryia to take over dismissing everyone.
Nightroad, CO
“Aye captain. I’ll head back to science lab 1 and check in with everything. See what is up to speed and will continue my research.” He said with a look.

USS MemorialJack gave a nod and pushed back from the table it was approaching his time at Tactical.
Lieutenant Commander Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Second Officer“Aye, Sir,” John acknowledged with a sharp nod. “You and the Commander’ll know the minute one of my patrols runs into something.”
Major John “Firefly” Arlen
Commander, Air GroupFrank made to rise as well, quietly accepting the orders to return to his post, but paused briefly before asking, “Commander McCleary. Did the prisoner sustain injuries that require medical attention, or is he recuperating comfortably? If, as they say, he will live that is all well and good, however if he will not I recommend transferring him to sickbay.”
He gave a warm smile, eyes peering over his glasses, “The comment about going in phaser first has me rather concerned.”
Dr. Frank Silva
Chief Medical Officer“No, doctor, he was at no time in danger of physical damage, nor did I see any signs of injury when he was brought to the bridge. My threats were only for show, as I was playing the ‘bad cop’ On the other hand, my threats and his experience with the droidlings appear to caused some emotional or psychological stress, as interrogations often do when the subject is being uncooperative. I did request a sedative be administered to calm him down, as well as having some food brought to him when he wakes up.”
Lieutenant Commander Saxon McCleary
Chief Intelligence Office USS Memorial
“Very well,” Frank said with a smile and dipped his head politely. “I shall return to the Sickbay if I am needed.”
