John stepped off the turbolift and headed to the cargo bay. He turned to see Lt. Turner running down the corridor to meet him. He hadn’t had a chance to meet the new Chief of Security, but it looked like this was as good a time as any. He quickly extended his hand. “Lt. Tolly, Chief of Operations,” he said, shaking the Lieutenant’s hand as the two walked double-time to the cargo bay. “We just received a distress call from a Federation shuttlecraft. We just pulled it into the shuttle bay. There is a Captain Nightroad on board,” he said with a slight shrug as they reached the shuttle bay. “So far, that’s all we know.” Inside, the craft had just landed. John snapped to attention as the door to the shuttle started to open.

“Nice to meet you Lieutenant, thank you for the update” he said as he ingested the information. “Lieutenant Jack Talor CSO and Tac Officer” he said holding out his hand.

Cain waited for the door of the shuttle craft to open and stepped out with Dr. Silva and Boomer. Looking at the Lieutenant he said. “Lieutenant, please take me to your Commanding Officer.” Cain kneeled down and scratched Boomer while waiting for a response.

John snapped to attention and nodded in response, “Yes sir, right this way,” he replied as he turned on his heels, leading Captain Cain and his dog to meet the ship’s captain. “That’s a beautiful dog you have there, sir,” John said, trying to make small talk.

Cain looked down at Boomer and said, “Boomer, stay put till I return.” then to the Lieutenant saying “Lead the way.”

Jack “Sir” Jack said as he stood at attention. He looked to the dog and then to the doctor “Lieutenant Jack Turner, Sir Chief of Security” he said as he fell in and walked along side. “I was told your shuttle craft was in distress, might I ask how Sir”
