Jack pulled out his his Padd and keyed up the sequence. He had informed the Captain he would be doing random drills so he could get a clear idea of how ready his team was. It would also server to get the team together and discuss the new team he would be putting together. Keying up the drill sequence he pressed the start button. The Alarm sounded throughout the halls of the ship. =/\=”Intruder Alert Cargo Bay 1, Intruder Alert Cargo Bay 1, Security to Cargo Bay 1, This is the Chief of Security , This is a Drill”=/\=

He would now wait to see how long it too his team to check in and get on scene.

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Aza felt the vibration of the alarm through the soles of her boots before she fully registered the sound. Her sharp dark eyes narrowed as the announcement crackled through the ship’s comms.
Aza was already halfway through checking her phaser when the call came in. The timing of the drill was inconvenient, to say the least, but that was precisely the point. It was meant to catch them off guard. She holstered her weapon, the motion swift and practiced, before she turned and strode out of the armory.

Tyr had been on patrol of the upper decks when the drill call came in. He looked at NE Black his usual partner and the two nodded. They informed the main security office that they’d be going up from deck 9 to deck 5 through Turbolifts then jogged towards the nearest lift. Security Override on the lift system to get priority access for the next lift. Within three minutes of the call, they were jogging down the main corridor of Deck 5 towards the main cargo bay. Tyr and NE Black took positions on either side of the main entrance, Tyr tapped his badge =^=Tyr to Security, me and Black are stationed outside Cargo Bay 1 doors, permission to engage=^=

Ensign Tyr - Sec

She reached the door to the cargo bay just as Tyr and Black positioned themselves on either side. She didn’t acknowledge them, her focus entirely on the task at hand. Aza pressed her back against the wall, hand resting lightly on her phaser, ready to draw. She waited for the order.

Before checking the com badge and responding he looked at the time, not bad he thought. Lets see if they check the room first. =/\=”Make entry and Clear”=/\= he said and watched the security feeds .

Rado Gainn had been on cafeteria duty in the event of a fight when he heard the alert. In his rush to get to Cargo Bay 1, he missed the part where this was a drill.
Sprinting to the turbolift, he realized that he had yet to memorize where Cargo Bay 1 was. So when he got onto the turbolift, he asked the ship’s computer, “Computer, where is Cargo Bay 1?”
“Cargo Bay 1 is on Deck Five, Ensign.” The computer’s monotone voice answered.
“Deck Five, then.”
As soon as the turbolift doors opened, Rado resumed running. Eventually, he came across two security personnel preparing to enter the Cargo Bay.
I’m coming, Prophets, he thought to himself as he followed the other two inside the cargo bay.

Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer

Jake stood in the center of the room there would be no combat simulation this time around but soon the new Rapid Response Team would be drilling a lot.

Aza was through the door a split second later, her movements fluid and silent. Her eyes swept the room in a systematic pattern, noting every potential hiding spot, every shadow. She moved with the precision of someone who had done this a hundred times before, her body almost acting on instinct. There were no enemies, just Lieutenant Turner standing in the center of the bay.

Tyr moved in side by side with Aza, mirroring her movements trusting her to take the other side of the room. He scanned with his eyes, his phaser turning with his gaze, he didn’t holster until he was certain the room was secure although he’d expected as much.

To Rado’s surprise, rather than seeing Orion pirates or Romulan spies, instead he saw his commanding officer Lieutenant Turner. “Sir!” He said, noticeably out of breath, “w-where’s the enemy?”

Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer

She tightened her grip on the phaser, ready for anything, but Turner’s relaxed stance told her all she needed to know. It was a drill, nothing more.
As Rado burst in, asking about the enemy, Aza remained silent, her gaze still scanning the room.

Ensign (Aza)
(Security officer)

Tyr looked back at the new entry, he hadn’t been officially introduced to the newest member of the Security team as of yet, it was nice to no longer be the newest kid on the block anymore. He had already holstered his weapon but his hand hovered over it as he approached the Security Chief.

Ensign Tyr - Sec

As several other officers entered into the room he smiled and clicked the timer to complete the exercise. “Well done he said, good time and still entered with caution” he motioned to an imaginary line Infront of him. “Line up” he requested looking down at the pad.

OOC: Try not to edit out the greater than symbols “>” or have any in front of your current post it will help keep the transition from post to post more smooth.

Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

As Rado joined the line that they were making, he bit his lip. He hoped that Lieutenant Turner wouldn’t chew him out for not realizing that it was a drill. It was already embarrassing that this was his introduction to his new coworkers. If they were anything like the folks back on Bajor, they’d never let him forget it.

Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer

Jack looked over the officers and smiled. “Good time, well executed, your previous chief did well training you” he looked down the line again, “I wanted to bring us all together thought this would be better than sitting around a table, get the blood pupin a bit. ” he noted. “For those who have not met me yet, I’m Lieutenant Jack Turner Callsign Blaze, ” he said and beg to walk down the line looking at each of them. “As Tactical Chief I’m putting together a ERT team, they will be the first to respond and deal with any hostile events, hostage rescue, and any stealth activities that are required of this ship.” he noted as he took the center position. “If you are interested please take a step forward.”

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Rado hesitantly stepped forward. He knew that he most likely wasn’t ready, especially when he didn’t realize a drill was happening. Oh, Prophets, this was a terrible idea! He thought.
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer

Tyr exchanged glances with his wingman then with a shrug stepped forward, Whatever this ERT concept was it sounded like more excitement than anything else, not that there was something more exciting than flying a several tonne fighter craft.

Lt. Kudas stepped out of the shuttle with his partner, Ensign G’ork. The Trill and Klingon security officers had just returned from a security training course at Starbase 256. At the point of their arrival, there was no decurity staff to welcome them back aboard. They thought that was not normal, so they asked a passing Ensign where to find the security staff, and that’s when they were told about the incident at Cargo Bay 1. They quickly got to the Cargo bay doors, pressed the button on the panel to open the doors and tactically entered the bay, phasers at the ready, to see the Chief of Security Lt. Turner introducing himself and asking for volunteers for the ERT team.
Lt. Kudas, Security

Jack noted the entry of Lieutenant Kudas, looking at the lieutenant briefly motioning to take a spot in line, he continued on with the brief. Moments later Rado was taking his step forward, it was a hesitant step but a step forward non the less. “Emergency Response Team, is an extra duty assignment, ” he paused, “Training will be very challenging, you will be pushed to your very limits. ” he looked at them. He looked down the line, he needed five at the end of the day to get form an element.

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Tyr remained where he stood, he’d never gone through advanced combat training at the Academy, opting to shift to fighter training instead so this was a golden opportunity to add to his arsenal.

Ensign Tyr - Sec

Jake looked around, “O Six Hundred tomorrow” he noted. “Now that is out of the way, at ease” he said lifting his finger “Ensign Tyr, Introduce yourself.” he requeste.d

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Tyr blinked in surprise at his new Security Chief’s words, he truly hadn’t expected that. He stepped forward and stood at ease “Ensign Týr Bragason, I go by my first name, Týr or Tyr” He pronounced his name both in his original Icelandic and the general North American pronunciation “I graduated the Academy last year after taking an extra year to get my Combat flight certifications.”

Ensign Tyr - Sec

He smiled, “Nice to meet you ensign, ” he said holding out his hand. “Any thing not work related you care to share with the team?” he ask. “I my self love horses and the old west” he noted giving an example.

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Again Tyr Blinked in surprise “Uhm I’m the youngest of five, I have a twin sister who’s nine minutes older and works as a Civilian Scientist on Earth. My oldest brother Baldur is a Starfleet Veteran of nearly thirty years and the reason I signed up” He hesitated “I enjoy sports, football mostly and I’m told I’m a little bit extremely competitive.”

Ensign Tyr - Sec

Jack laughed a little. “Nothing wrong with being competitive, it helps keeps us sharp.” Thank you Ensign, he said looking around the room. “Ensign Gainn, how about you, give us a little introduction and tell us something about yourself.” he asked.

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

“Actually, sir, it’s Ensign Rado. Bajoran surnames go first.” He said, hoping he didn’t come off as smarmy. “But, you’re all free to call me Gainn when we’re off-duty. Uh, I’m from Bajor, obviously. I like to play springball and I’ve been watching a bunch of old Earth movies, like Oppenheimer or Deadpool and Wolverine. They’re pretty good.” >Rado paused, hesitant to continue. “My, uh, parents and sister were killed by the Cardassians during the Occupation.” He said, hoping it wouldn’t be too much of a downer.
Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer

Tyr had a solemn expression on his face, the occupation of Bajor ended seven years before he was born but he’d of course learned about it in school, it was hard to imagine such horrors, the disconnect between the distance and decades made it hard to understand but easy to sympathise, growing up in paradise had a way of letting you forget that not every place in the galaxy was nice to live in.

Ensign Tyr - Sec

Lt. Kudas and Ensign G’ork took thier place among the other security personnel that the CoS was pointing to. When he asked for volunteers, Lt. Kudas stepped forward >eagerly, but Lt. G’ork was just as hesitant as Ensign Gainn.

Lt Kudas, Security

Jack looked at Rado. “Well that certainly a common story among your people, it is a tragedy that should never be repeated.” he noted. “How about you Lt Kudas, tell us a little about yourself” he requested.

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Tyr looked over to the older officer, he hadn’t interacted much with Kudas but he was one of the more experienced junior officers on the security team. He briefly wondered how much help that experience would be in the advanced training.

Ensign Tyr - Sec

Bump to keep on board

“I’m a Trill, one of my previous hosts had a criminal history. When I was in the academy, I would have nightmares about those activities. Thus, for the start of my career, I was assigned to Section 31, but seeing as the nightmares have stopped, and I have never shown that I will act on any of those actions myself, Starfleet has cleared me for regular duty,” Lt. Kudas stated answering Lt. Turner’s question.
Lt. Kudas, Security Officer

Tyr raised an eyebrow “The hell’s a Section 31” He muttered to NE Black next to him who shrugged not knowing either.

Ensign Tyr - Sec

OOC: sorry folks,, life has been a busy mess.

Jack looked over the team, and smiled a little, “Well as I mentioned I’m Jack Turner, callsign Blaze. I spend the first few years as a ERT team lead dealing with anit boarding and hostage negotiations and recovery. ” he paused for a moment, “Turns out i’m a decent pilot so I went back to Air Combat Training , Led a squadron on the USS Titan and served as her Chief Tactical as well. ” he looked around the room.

“Any questions before we move on?”

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Rado sucked his teeth. He wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to ask his superior officer this question, but it seemed like a legitimate question. “Uh, sir? Um, people died under your command and, uh, how many those were on you?”

Ensign Rado Gainn, Security Officer

Jack was taken back a little at the question certainly it was not something he was going to live through on the cargo deck. “Yes, ensign I have lost both civilians, officers under my command and enemy’s as well. ” he paused placed his hands behind his back. “As to on me or not, Those that I had operational command on, justified or not, are on me.” he said with a more somber tone.

“Any other questions?”

Lieutenant Jack ‘Blaze’ Turner
Chief of Security / Tactical Officer

Lt. Kudas did not have any questions, so he just stood there.
Lt. Kudas, Security Officer
