Shortly after Chief Science Officer Hall Angel was done seeing the captain he knew that it was time for something to eat. He went to the mess hall and went to the replicator and asked for perfectly nice-styled blueberry pancakes. He then grabbed his plate of food sat down and started to read his pad. He started to eat and started to read the book that was listed on his pad.

After picking up his plate of Groatcakes that he ordered from the replicator, he scanned for a place to sit that hadn’t been taken already. Finding a spot near a Science Officer, he moved to sit there. Trying to ignore his nervousness in asking, he cleared his throat. “Is it alright if I sit here?” He asked the Science Officer.

“Please Ensign. Please sit.” As the Lieutenant looked up noticing the young Ensign standing in front of him. Please. I don’t bite.” He added.

Rado sat down. After taking a bite of his groatcake, he asked, “My name’s Rado Gainn. May I, uh, ask yours?”

“The names Lucas. Lucas Hall Angel or by nickname Markiplier.” He told the Ensign.

Rado raised his eyebrow. What a strange nickname. Casting off his confused look, he asked, “So, uh, where are you from?”

“Earth Ensign. San Francisco California.” He said.

“Ah, I see.” Rado said, “I’m from Bajor. Hathon, to be specific.”

“Nice. What brought you here on the Memorial and into Starfleet?” He asked.

“Well, I’ve always been fascinated by space. One time I even snuck onto a Cardassian ship just to know what being space felt like.” Rado told Hall Angel. “In retrospect, that was a very poor decision and I was lucky I wasn’t killed.” He paused. “Joining Starfleet seemed like the obvious next step. How about you?”

“Starfleet has always been my home. I joined because it is the right thing to do.” He said.

“Hmm… Well, uh, what do you like to do for fun?” Rado asked.

“Working honestly. Working here on the ship is what I like to do for fun.” He answered the Ensign.

“Usually I just play Bajoran springball or visit the holodeck in my free time.” Rado said, hoping that Markiplier wouldn’t ask what kind of things he did in the holodeck. He preferred that Rado Gainn and the Raiders of the Lost Spaceship be known only to him.

“Interesting. What do you do in the holodeck? I mean I am just curious Ensign so don’t worry.” He told the Ensign with reassurance.
