Rado Gainn entered the sickbay, ready for his physical by the Chief Medical Officer. He tried to hide his limp, a little nervous that it would force him off the ship. He had done fairly well hiding it at the academy, but there were close calls. Whenever a professor requested to speak to him alone or whenever he had any medical examination, Gainn thought the jig was up. But no, nobody caught on.

He approached the nearest medical officer and tapped their shoulder, “Excuse me, are you the Chief Medical Officer?” He asked when the medical officer turned around, “I’m Ensign Rado Gainn. I was, uh, told by Lieutenant Turner to come here for my Boarding Examination?”

KT turned round and smiled warmly “Welcome abord. and yes I’m Lieutenant KT-QT the Chief medical officer” she said her to kind and warm. “You just be our new security ensign” she said as she gestured to an empty bio bed and grabbed tri-corder. KT, being an synthetic, didn’t need it but she found it put a lot of the crew at ease, after all having KT just stare at you for a second would be a bit unnerving.

“So anything changed since your last eval?” KT asked as she started scanning with her tri-corder. She had of course noticed the limp but she would wait to address that after the Ensign had relaxed into his eval a bit.
