As the USS Memorial dropped out of warp, Aiden stood on the bridge, his anticipation palpable. His eyes were fixed on the viewscreen, awaiting the transition back into real space. With a nod, he commanded the helm, “Drop us out of warp.” Aiden’s hands rested lightly on the railing as he awaited the ship’s response. “Full tactical sensor scan,” he ordered, his tone conveying the importance of the task at hand. Then, turning to the tactical officer, he issued another directive, “Deploy the fighter wing. We need to be prepared for any eventuality.” Aiden’s focus remained unwavering as he awaited the results of the scan, ready to take action as necessary.

John remained seated at his console, gazing through the viewport as the streaks of starlight reverted to mere specks against the void of space. He inhaled deeply, anticipating the forthcoming commands.

As the USS Memorial emerged from warp, Sifeda maintained her composed demeanor, her focus sharp and unwavering. Standing at her station, she kept her eyes fixed on the viewscreen as it transitioned back to real space. Her fingers moved with precision across the console, initiating the full tactical sensor scan as ordered by Captain Aiden Voss. Each blip and beep from the sensors was met with a calculated response as she reviewed the data streaming before her.
Sifeda’s gaze returned to Aiden as he turned to address him “Fighter wing deployed, Captain,” she announced.

Science/tactical - Scans would show a Ferengi Merchant vessel, D’Kora-class but older mode with signs of visible battle no signs of life

The Captain’s inquiry about the scans prompted Sifeda to review the data for information. “Scans indicate a Ferengi Merchant vessel, D’Kora-class, but older model,” she reported, her eyes moving back to the viewscreen to confirm the details. “Signs of visible battle, but no signs of life detected.” Despite the absence of life signs, she remained on guard, aware that the situation could shift at any moment.

” Ferengi pirates have been known to use deception, they could be masking their life signs to try and lure a ship in”

Sifeda nodded, acknowledging Tolly’s concern. “Agreed, Lieutenant. We shouldn’t let our guard down. Keep scanning for any fluctuations or anomalies in the area. I don’t want us to fall into a trap.”She glanced at Captain Voss, silently conveying the need for caution in their next moves.

Tolly gave a quick nod turning back to his console “I also suggest we do a tachyon sweep to search for any cloaked ships.” He said while preparing to do a scan

“Good idea, flood the area with Tachyons, Commander ready an away team, let’s air in the side of caution and take a shuttle have the fighter squadron escort you and then remain patrolling the system.” He paused allowing his first two orders be acknowledge.

“Open hailing frequencies, let’s see if there’s anyone over there playing hide and seek.” Aiden stood cross armed in the center of the bridge waiting for his ordered to be carried out.

Seeing the communications console empty, Aza reached across her security console and input the commands to open the hailing frequencies. As she activated the comms, her voice was steady and clear. “Hailing frequencies open, Captain. Ready to transmit.” She glanced at Captain Voss, waiting for his signal to begin.

Aiden nodded in acknowledgment, his expression serious as he leaned forward. With a clear and steady voice, he spoke into the communicator: =^= “This is the USS Memorial. We offer our assistance. Please respond.” =^=

The silence that followed seemed to stretch on forever, heightening the tension on the bridge. Aiden repeated his message, hoping for any sign of life or communication from the vessel. But once again, there was no response.

He took a deep breath and turned to his first officer. “Commander, prepare an away team,” he ordered, his voice firm and resolute. “We need to find out what’s happening over there.”

Sifeda stood at her post, she met Captain Voss’s gaze with a nod, acknowledging the order with a composed demeanor that masked her underlying concern.
“Understood, Captain,” she replied, her voice calm and steady. “I’ll assemble the team immediately.”
She turned to Ensign Aza, who was still manning the security console. “Ensign, you’re with me.”

Aza nodded and quickly, jumped from her seat and followed Sifeda to the turbolift. As the turbolift doors opened a Communications NE stepped out and went to the communications console to take over.

While in the turbolift Sifeda thought out loud, “We will need a medic and and engineer.” The Ferengi vessel could harbor any number of threats, and she intended to be prepared for them all.
“Ensign, go get your phaser from the armory and I will meet you in the transporter room one.”
