Asher decided to part ways with Andromeda, recognizing the importance of allowing her to immerse herself fully in her first experiences aboard the memorial. Rather than being escorted to his new quarters, he opted to make his way to the medical decks, with the primary objective of conducting his initial medical assessment with the chief medical officer. As a Counselor, Asher understood the significance of gaining insight into the physical and mental well-being of the ship’s crew, and the ship’s main physician often provided invaluable briefings in this regard.Entering sickbay, Asher surveyed his surroundings. The layout was typical for a sickbay, albeit with its unique characteristics. “Excuse me,” he called out to a passing officer, seeking assistance.

USS MemorialKT turned to the voice and smiled her smile was genuine and it accentuated her kind and beautiful face with mottled green skin, soft golden eyes and long silky smooth black hair . “Lieutenant KT-QT Chief Medical Officer.” she said offering a hand shake, a custom she had learnt was very common amongst Organics when introducing themselves.
“What can I do for you Counsellor?” she asked her tone warm and kind.
Lieut KT-QT (CMO)
“Thank you, Lieutenant KT-QT,” Asher greeted, returning her warm smile as he accepted her handshake. Her mottled green skin and golden eyes, while unusual to him, exuded a sense of kindness and professionalism. “I’m here for my initial medical assessment, both for myself and to gain insight into the well-being of our crew,” he explained, his tone respectful.
“If you have a moment between the check-up, I’d like to discuss any health and wellness issues you’ve observed among the crew,” Asher continued, gesturing toward a nearby consultation area. He was eager to begin his duties onboard the USS Memorial and contribute to the well-being of their team in any way possible.

USS MemorialKT smiled and nodded “Of course.” she said as she gestured for Asher to sit on a bio bed. Once he was comfortable KT grabbed her Tri-corder. KT didn’t need it of course she could Scan Asher with the sensors in her eyes, but she knew it made the crew feel more comfortable. There wasn’t anything more unnerving then doctor just staring at you. But she did wonder how many of the new crew knew KT’s unique background. But she knew she’d find out sooner or later.
“So has anything changed since your last eval?” she asked her tone more professional but still warm.
Lieut (j.g.) KT-QT (CMO)
Sitting on the Bio bed, Asher contemplated the query, “Nothing of significance really, just the occasional bruise from sports and the inevitable singed tongue from devouring piping hot pizza slices,” he chuckled softly, “Is the tricorder supposed to put me at ease?” he mused aloud. He was vaguely cognizant of KT-QT’s situation; as the acting chief counsellor, he had come across some references to her psychological state, which also touched upon her physical well-being. “It’s a clever technique if it is, though unnecessary for me,” he remarked, subtly reverse-engineering her approach. He aimed for mutual comfort in their counsellor-counselee dynamic; simply because they both delved into medicine, albeit from different angles, didn’t necessarily imply differing levels of satisfaction or discomfort with having someone delve into their physiological state.

USS MemorialKT raised an eyebrow “Very well. Your the first Organic to mention not using it. I guess you’ve done your homework” she said her tone still warm but it had an undertone of being impressed. She pout the Tri-corder down and began her own scan “My scanner are faster anyway.” She said as she looked Asher up and down a few times.
Asher has suspected her own imbedded technology would be easier and quicker for her to use and barely noticed her taking the scan.
“Are you on any medication that not in your medical profile?” she asked she she finished her scan. KT was keen tog et the eval over with and get to know the ships counsellor better. Although they where inn different fields of medicine it wasn’t un common for their department to work closely together.

“Nope, I haven’t had any need for medical attention for some time, I try to keep myself out of trouble and as the ships counsellor I tend to be away from any action” Asher admitted. “So how does your scanning work? Is it a data read out? or something else?” He enquired wanting to get to know the CMO more.

USS MemorialKT was surprised by the question not many onboard had asked her about how things actually worked for her. It was a strange sensation, she would chalk it up to embarrassment but she knew that wasn’t entirely the case.
“My Visual sensors and ocular processors scan everything in the room, taking readings in every from of visual you can think of, thermal, x-ray, inferred and so on. This information is sent to my neural net via my bio circuitry. Its then processed to give me what I need I can select in an instant the information I want and change how i see things meaning no matter the situation I can ‘see’ clearly. All this happens faster then any organic brain and thanks to my past as a pleasure servant and the past hundred or so years, of adaptation, I can think and act faster then any other person.” she said slowly to make sure it went in. She knew how hard it could be for organics to understand how advanced of a synthetic She was and she wanted to make sure that Asher hadn’t got lost along the way of her explanation.
Sitting on the bio bed, Asher listened closely as KT explained how her scanning worked. He found it really interesting. “So, your eyes and brain work together to take in all sorts of information, like heat and X-rays, and then your brain sorts through it super fast to figure out what’s going on,” Asher summarized, making sure he understood correctly.
KT nodded “Got it in one.” she said warmly.
“If you want an idea of how fast I can process things. By the time I said my first word to you, when you came in. I had accessed the ships computer, downloaded your medical history analysed it and sorted into relevant information.” she added happily, it was clear KT wasn’t bragging she was just trying to make it as easy as possible for Asher to follow along.

Asher nodded, impressed. “That’s amazing! It must make things so much easier for you, and are their any limitations? How does…” He paused, “Lack for better words maintenance work?”

KT shook her head “For the most part there aren’t any limitations. Though it is harder for me to see through things the thicker they are. but I can see in most environments even in complete darkness.” she said kindly
“My people where designed to self maintain and to fix most issues. Our creator thought it necessary as they liked to be very rough and violent with us. I spent a fair few night piecing myself together. However once every six months I should get an check up and diagnostic from an engineer. I’m not so great at that part. they say doctors make the worst patients and I’d say it was true” she said after a short pause.
